Castellón–Costa Azahar Airport

Great little airport, we flew in from Stansted Airport London in February 2024 with Ryan Air, and returned a week later. Very efficient airport. Smooth, effective, and quick getting through the airport, no queues. Airport staff friendly, the airport is clean. There is a great cafe, both public-side and air-side. Good toilets. Duty free shopping on air-side after security. We hired a car from the airport, excellent hire car company, we paid only £150 for a full week of car hire. Highly recommended airport. People just need to research properly their travel plans before they fly in. They need to research carefully the location of the airport, and the limited public transport links, and the limited amount of immediately available taxis. With careful research, to understand the limitations of this airports location and public transport links, then I can highly recommend this airport.

Very happy so far for having this airport nearby. Traveling in the winter so the fact that the place is small doesn't affect me, but I guess in the summer it might be a mess.

Small but well kept airport

One of my favourite airports. Small, friendly, free parking, just yards from the terminal building and remarkably easy to use.

And of course, there is the avant-garde two faced man, with an aeroplane hat, there to welcome you arrival by road.

Great arrival, in and out adventure, bus right outside with easy access to get to Valencia etc. Bus will leave you at the train station in Castellon.

Great 'little' airport, get out of the plane and you re out of the airport. Also flying from is really chill and smooth. A number of taxis are available to take you to your destination. There is a tapas place / wine bar at the pretty clean entry hall and a smooth security check. No need to come hours in advance.

Very small regional airport, free parking, basic facilities, nice and helpful staff.
Everything goes nice and smooth here, no waiting in lines. Cheap car rental is available. 60 minutes from Valencia centrum (with a car). Plenty of space outside to chill before flight.

Fine service ! Free parking. Airlines say they don't take e-boarding cards, not true. Very fine designed.

Great SMALL airport in a midle of nowhere. if you are expecting big, busy and many shops, you will not going to get this at this airport. It took 2 min to get through security (only 2 lines) arrived 1hr before flight. 1 duty free shop, small stall with food. Clean toilets. Rented car from Malco. Great airport.

Extremely calm airport. Free parking spots in front of the door, friendly personnel. Great new destination for us as we normally go via Valencia to Castellon. Will definitely pass there again.

There are 2 Bars to get food and drinks, contrary to other posting, 1 pre security and 1 post security, plus other small concessions to buy local produce.
It is a very small regional airport with free parking and saves driving for 2hours North or South to larger airports. We used to rent a car from one of the 3 Car Rental places in the reception lounge, maybe twice or three times a year and an opportunity came along to buy an old car for €1000, so we now park it at the FREE car park and drive to the Costa Azaha and have never had a problem.

Small airport. Very small queue for security. All staff smiling and pleasant. Machines for food and drink after security. Toilets spotlessly clean. Really good experience

Easy Pick up as using flight radar will give you accurate landing time so no hanging around

Small airport quite close to Castellon and Peñiscola! The airport has improved a lot since the opening! There are a few restaurants, bars and shops to eat and buy local product. As the airport is small, there are no queues and process is quite fast. Free parking spaces outside the terminal! Connections to towns and cities nearby by bus and taxi! Excellent!

Well I think it is the one that is best located to go to the other cities or towns in England, at least for me with the bus that costs me 2.40 pounds for Luton Parkway and from there the train which takes me in an hour to Corby in Rutland

Small but very nice airport , quick board in process as theres nt much flights , one hour drive from valrncia and 50 minutes from beni qasm its a perfect airport if u dont like rush or peak hour flights
