BAR EL MERCADO

I have been to Mercado de Cabanyal several times but never noticed this cute diner. Great food is cooked and served here. Various dishes for tapas and bocadillos, super delicious! How could it be possible that I have missed this place for such a long time! I should come more often in the future.
The price is really reasonable, €4.5 for bocadillo and €6.5 for tapas.
The staff are friendly and giving quick response. I really enjoy the local vibes there, feeling like I’m part of them although I understand very little Spanish.

Love this place. The food is delicious, and the staff is very kind. Good deal qualyty-quantity-price. Problem is sometimes you need to wait for a table (around 20 minutes), it is always full (because people love it). You could bring your own food and they will cook it for you

The best place for lunch. It was so good we went back again on our last day. Absolutely amazing food - everything is fresh and delicious. The staff here are great people and I love just experiencing the atmosphere there. Also don’t forget to try the cremaet (coffee, rum, sugar drink)!!! Phenomenal! Met some amazing people there.

Stumbled upon this place while exploring the food market. We have been back three times great food, fun people watching, will have to wait for a seat but it's worth it.

A very typical but excellent market bar. Tostada was lovely and fresh, excellent anchoa y queso fresco. Croquettas were nice and homemade, I had bacalao but was disappointed not to be able to try the morcilla ones. Plenty to choose from though. Lovely service, very friendly and indulged my poor ability to speak Spanish, which is great if you’re trying to learn like me. I may well return tomorrow!

I agree completely with all the positive comments of my fellow eaters at bar el mercado. The service senoras and the gentleman are really great and very friendly. The food offered or bought and prepared is delicious. We will be back. Thank you for a great experience.

Muy ricos los bocatas y una gran variedad de croquetas. El personal super simpactico y atentos.Y para finalizar un buen cremaet. Sin duda,repetiremos y ademas tienes la opcion de comprar comida en el mercado y te la cocinan al momento.

Cómo no, producto siempre fresco y de calidad.
En su interior, dispone de barra para sentarte y almorzar.
Tiene en el exterior una terracita con algunas mesas, que a fecha del 10, octubre 2023, no está disponible por las obras que están haciendo, pero que es agradable para almorzar.
El personal es rápido, y en cocina también.
Los almuerzos son de un buen tamaño, y generosos en cantidad, sin excederse, pero muy buenos en calidad, y siempre del día y recién hechos, a precios muy competitivos.
A mejorar el pan diría yo, que creo que es de franquicia.
Visita obligada para los amantes de un buen almuerzo.

Qué bocadillos!! Tapas y en fin lo que sea qué te preparen allí está delicioso 😋, excelente servicio, muy amables y cariños@s , precio en la linea, destacar los almuerzos y los cafés "decorados" de Cristóbal. En hora punta los jueves es difícil pillar asientos, pero es normal.

Muy amables, servicio estupendo. Productos de primera calidad que compras en el mercado y te cocinan allí mismo. El almuerzo muy rico. El chivito espectacular. Todo de primer nivel. Y encima granotas!! 💪🐸

El killer del cabanyal. Sitio recóndito dentro del propio Mercado. Te tienes que pedir el de criollo con patatas, si le pones huevo, te coronas. Precio: 6,50€ con cremaet, una locura.

Lugar favorito!!!!! Fina y los demás son un encanto siempre dispuestos a ofrecer lo mejor de si. Las croquetas increíbles. Es un lugar buenísimo si pasas por el cabañal tienes q venir al bar mercado

Excelente comida, típico y con buena atención, tienes que tener paciencia, hay mucha gente y los bocadillos los hacen en el momento, pero vale la pena.
