Restaurante Rocamar

Rocamar Restaurant, located in the coastal town of Baiona, is truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the north of Spain.

The setting is stunning, with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. If you’re lucky, the waves crashing against the rocks just outside your window add a picturesque touch to your meal. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a memorable experience.

The menu focuses on fresh, local seafood, and every dish I tried was exceptional. The variety of seafood dishes, all cooked to perfection and bursting with unique flavors, was remarkable. The presentation embraced a minimal simplicity, allowing the high-quality ingredients to shine.

The wine list is impressive, featuring a great selection of local and international wines that pair perfectly with the seafood dishes. The staff were super knowledgeable, and the owner personally greeted us and offered excellent recommendations.

Service at Rocamar is top-notch. The staff were super attentive, friendly, and ensured every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. Their passion for food and dedication to great service really stood out.

We had a shell food mix for two (cold and hot) and we added a sliced lobster.
Very rich and varied: percebes, crab, shrimp, lobster, scallops. All exceptional.
We tried the caldo gallego as well - excellent.
The homemade cake is recommended.
They offered a lemon sorbet.
Everything was just excellent and the portions were very generous.
The waiters were very kind and helpful.
The service was quick and accurate.
The price is not cheap but absolutely honest as the quality of the food is extraordinary.
Reservation is recommended.

Really nice restaurant next to the sea! Definitely one of the better places for having fish or meat if you are in this area. We had the lobster with rice for a bigger group and it was awesome. The service is also really friendly and has a lot of recommendations. We will come back ;-)

Shared a lunch of empanada, mixed salad, melon and ham. Beautiful flavours. Excellent service. Finished off with a complementary sorbet - just lovely.

I went to Baiona specially to have lunch in this place. The sea food with that view is just amazing. You're gonna have a great experience for sure. The only down side for me was a salad that I ordered in a rush and I didn't realice one of the ingredients was caned tune which is disappointing in a place like this. But everything else, perfection!

Great sea food with great view!

One year after eating at his place I still remember it as memorable meal. The rice with bogavante was exquisite, percebes were great as well. The seafood in general was amazing, quality was beyond fresh. The wine list is great and you can trust them to give the best recommendations to pair your meal. Also the ocean view from the table I got was the perfect compliment. For about 150 euros four people can eat like kings, including wine and fresh seafood from the cold waters of the north of Spain. Truly a hidden gem for those not from this area.

One of the best restaurants in the whole area. I had the salt crusted wild seabass washed down with a nice bottle of albariño. I've also eaten here attending a group event and the fish & shellfish was fresh & delicious. The kitchen/chef team look really professional with their high top hats. Service is good. The views from the window tables so close to the wild ocean are impressive. I even observed a colony of foraging coastal bats. It's not cheap but worth the treat.

The good but expensive food is surpassed by the professionalism of the staff which in turn is only topped by the views. I would reccomend though that if you are going to spend that much, to ask for the private room because the accustics in the enormous dining room make conversation nigh impossible.

Very good food. I highly recommend fish "a la marinera". Try alemejas and enjoy the delicious bread. Regional vine available. Friendly staff and adorable view through the atlantic ocean. Prices are a bit higher but nevertheless very delicious and perfect restaurant

It’s a massive place but the food and service is excellent.

Best seafood you can find. If you are around you absolutely need to go to Rocamar. It is important to choose your seafood "de la Ría", which means it is from the bags of Galicia. Price is higher but the quality is way way worth it. Recommendable: their grilled lobster, the "centolla de la ría" , "nécoras de la ría", and obviously, the "percebes".

I highly recommend to visit this restaurant. Tasty food, nice atmosphere and high level customer service!
