Large site to wander around and admire the restored, tiled floors, read the panels (in English and Spanish) and picture a bustling city. The amphitheatre is huge and impressive. There’s a small exhibition near the entrance, along with toilet facilities. Benches are placed throughout the site. The entry fee is small. A bus goes to the site from Seville, costing EUR 1,65 one-way (Nov-2023).

A bit far away from the city center, it will take 30 minutes via bus M170 from the city. The bus starts inside the Plaza de Armas near the bridge, not from the road as google shows. You can see the relics of amphitheater, Roman bath, house with beautiful mosaic floor. Free for EU, 1.5 for others. Italica, this faraway Roman Town is the birthplace of two of the five good emperors, Trajan and Hadrian, worth a visit for history lovers.

Awesome experience. No places to sit down for a coffee while enjoying the views though.
All cafes are off site.

What a trip down memory lane…about 2300 years ago.

Entry was 1.5 euros for visitors of another country, which was well worth it.

Seeing the arena and city ruins was quite a trip.

You can also have lunch in a nearby restaurant.

From the city center, it’s only. $15 euro Uber ride if not less.

An amazing place to see ruins, very affordable, $1.50 per person. Takes less than 2 hours to tour the entire site. Reminds me of a mini Pompeii.. We took a taxi from our port in Seville for $25.00 each way.

I came by when walking the camino Via de la Plata and stopped at Italica.I spent there an hour and really enjoyed it. The amphitheater I find most impressive. Entrance was free for me. There is a picknick area and drinking water, as well as toilets and big size lockers where you can store your rucksack. Really cool and worthwile.

Amazing Roman city and amphitheater 20 min outside of Seville. Nice little museum, wonderful mosaics; as if they were installed yesterday. Impressive to stand in the amphitheater.

We were in Seville and went by the amphitheater and we were absolutely blown away. The condition of the amphitheater was amazing and the village of Italica next door was worth the trip by itself. The mosaics inside many of the houses, the bath house, the planetarium, and gre grounds as a whole offered an intimated detail in the lifestyle of the Roman Italiacs. Even the drainage and water supply system was really need to see. We spent almost three hours walking around looking at everything. I was really impressed with how well they kept everything clean and how we were able to walk through and inside the amphitheater as if we were visiting to watch a show. We ended up ubering there from Giralda for only 15€ and getting an Uber back was just as cheap and easy. There are lots of places to sit and rest and sit in the shade and for only 1.5€ per person entrance fee, it was more than worth it. Lastly, it looks like they still have much to uncover and for some reason I loved the Canada Honda main road entrance to Italica. It was best to walk down the road into the village and on to the amphitheater as what many of the locals did two centuries ago.

Excellent site well worth visiting. The amphitheatre making use of landscape features was impressive as were the many mosaics still in tact in some of the remains of other buildings in this former Roman colony. All the sewers and drains under the former roads are still in tact.
Very good signs with clear explanation in Spanish and English throughout the site.
Really enjoyed looking around here without jostling crowds despite the entrance being FREE!!! - In Italy they would rip you off left right and centre for anything equivalent.

A fantastic site for anyone who loves history and archeological places really wonderful gardens, and informative visual and written transcripts from 2,000BC . It is known as the old Seville famous for the Roman emperor Hadrian and Trajan.
The series Game of Thrones was filmed here a wonderful day out.

Wish more people visit this place! It's a real gem that doesn't get the attention it deserves. Good spot for Game of Thrones fans too!
They work very hard to restore and conserve this 2000 year old Roman city.
It's just 15 minutes away by car from Sevilla or 30min bus ride. Entry is free and inside you can find signs with information about what you're seeing. If you don't want to do it just by yourself there are yours available (highly recommended)

Italica is a beautiful and very interesting historical site.
For EU residents free of charge.
I do recommend to take a guide. Normally one very friendly and knowledgeable guide per 8-10 persons. At the end everybody decides which amount of tip to give them.
Easy to find and free of charge parking available near the entrance along the adjacent street.
Pending approval as UNESCO World Heritage site.

Signage is very good in English and Spanish. Site is vast so allocated a couple if hours to get all the way round. There are water fountains on the site. It was free to get it. The kiosk at thd front does not appear to be staffed any more although the lady at tourist information said it was 1.5 euros for non EU people

Brilliant site with wonderful mosaics. The amphitheatre is really impressive. We thought it was well signed and informative. Be aware that - should there be a national strike - the site will be closed: we had to come back on another day.

The colosseum is fascinating although it is already an relic of bricks and stone
The mosaic in the city relic is nice and preserved well

This is a very cool Roman city. Technically, they are supposed to close at 3:00 pm. We got there on Sunday at 1:45. We went in for free. They already had the chains up at the best scenic locations. They said it was almost closing time. So, they wouldn't let us in to the best spots. We were able to navigate through the basic amphitheater. Better than missing it completely.

This is probably one of the best Ancient Rome cites been to outside of Rome itself. The arena was reminiscent of a smaller version of the colosseum but with cool rocky surroundings. For those that are Game of Thrones fans you might recognize it as the place where Khalisi and one of her dragons met with another group.

Very impressive archeological site, with one of the biggest amphitheatres of roman times and beautiful mosaics in excavated roman houses.
There is still a lot to be discovered, I'm excited what else will be found there...

Great archeological site with impressive amphitheatre (familiar from the Game of Thrones), small museum, termes, nice remains of private wealthy villas, mosaics in situ. Too bad the Temple of Trajan has disappeared.

The arena is neat and larger than expected. The mosaics are fascinating. History and Ancient Rome lovers will enjoy this place.
