Palau de Miravet: alojamiento singular, centre d'art Joaquim Mir

If I would have to describe our stay at Palau de Miravet in one word, it would be 'breathtaking'.
My wife and I spent 3 nights at Palau de Miravet and we enjoyed every single moment of our stay!!
The view, the architecture, the details, the paintings, the plants, and much more were stunning! Rarely will you experience a place like that!
The host Aurelio was extremely welcoming and made us feel comfortable.
We totally recommend this place!

The Palau De Miravet is an extraordinary, unique and magical space. Lovingly restored, curated and hosted by Aurelio and his partner, Joachim. This was the dreamscape that we were fortunate enough to stay in overlooking the Erbe River . Which is clean & swimmable but with strong currents in center.

The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare, serve and eat full meals on the deck overlooking the glistening river. There is a national park preserve across the way with nothing but green as far the eye can see. Song birds fill the air with tranquility and song.

Spanish culture and history is around every quarter. And there is a museum on the ground floor at our gallery with one of the most extraordinary historical films about life spent in 1930 that has ever been presented. Then there is an extraordinary Knights of Templar fort and castle from the 11-15th century! And a beautiful art gallery in a decommissioned church. Relatively few tourists; A great place to unwind.

Aurelio even provides massages at a very reasonable rate with a phenomenally light and gracious healing touch.

This is a sanctuary, restful space, and not for everyone. If you're looking for a big party, this is the last place you want to go. But if you want to go deep into Spanish nature, history, culture, and design, you could not find more a authentic retreat than this.

We highly recommend this top floor apartment or any of the other two gorgeously designed apartments in this private Riverside Palace.

We had an amazing weekend at Palau de Miravet. The place has a soul, you can feel it. And Aurelio is such a nice person, you feel like you have known him for years:) Everything was PERFECT. We went there in Jan, and enjoyed the "tranquilidad". Definitely will go again during spring.

Palau de Miravet is, without a doubt, the definition of peaceful. It’s a place to escape to from the stresses of life, work, emails, and the noise of cities. Our room was fantastic, and the guest house itself has some of the most beautiful and calming views in all of Spain. The house was very clean, organised, holding everything you need. Thank you Aurelio for everything!

What can I say? A magical experience. The most beautiful building, lovingly restored, overlooking the slowly flowing, magnificent River Ebro. We sat for hours watching the house martins swooping under the eaves and the cormorants and egrets hunting for fish.
Miravet is a beautiful village, El Palau is warm, well equipped, comfortable and extraordinary. Aurelio, our host was helpful, considerate, kind and knowledgeable.
Can’t wait for our next visit.

We stayed at the Palau last week for our honeymoon, and it truly was an amazing experience.

Pictures can't really explain how beautiful it is - both the Palau itself, the view from it and the surrounding area, and the stay itself was wonderful: From comfortable beds and a clean location, to a warm and helpful host who was willing to assist us with anything that we needed - from breakfast, to a tour of the town, and booking a whole bunch of other activities from local vendors.

Finally, when it comes to the price, the cost to stay in a Palau make it a wonderful bargain. You don't usually get such quality at such a low cost. Similarly, everything in the town was so cheap compared to what we are used to.

We had a very pleasant stay at Palau. Aureli and Joaquim are the nicest hosts and they are making sure you are having a great stay. Miravet is one of the loveliest places all around Spain and you will definitely have to stay at Palau. Great views, clean rooms and a comfortable bed rounds it up for a pleasant essence from the cities noise. We will come back for sure

We had a lovely stay at Palau de Miravet. Aurelio is unbelievably warm and welcoming, the building is stunning with ornate frescoes that are so special. The apartment is one of the most calming spaces I’ve been in, and Miravet is the perfect place to unwind. Would highly highly recommend!

What can one say when the experience itself leaves you speechless? Palau de Miravet has history, has energy and has incredible people looking after it! Contemplating from our very own balcony, the moving stillness of the river Ebre, as if guarding the castle by its turn, has brought me many inspirational feelings and thoughts. It truly is a place for artistic souls to rest, express, create, unlearn, learn anew or simply just be! I highly recommend the experience! The attic penthouse is five star in all respects! Excellent quality design, attention to detail, incredible location, unforgettable views and art integrated in a mirad of ways!

Unique experience at the singular house! Right above the river, nicely decorated cozy rooms, atmosphere of art and history. Lots of hospitality from the host. We had a fantastic stay!

Probably the best accommodation option in Miravet. Aurelio is a great guy and a fountain of knowledge about the area.

The Palau de Miravet guesthouse was a wonderful discovery! We were looking for someplace to stay while we visited the Castell de Miravet & the Ebro Delta & found this absolute gem! Aureli & his partners are lovingly & artistically restoring the Palau that sits just above the banks of the Ebre River. The views are fantastic! Our room was nicely decorated & our bathroom huge & wonderfully appointed. There are 2 guest suites, an art gallery, outside terraces & a warm & cozy sitting & breakfast room on our floor. A third floor restoration is already in the works. Upon arrival we were greeted with fresh bread & little cakes, bowls of fruit; a refrigerator with cheese & jamon. Coffee & various teas, along with every type of milk was offered. All of this was provided for our "breakfast included"! Also local olive oils & wines were displayed & available for a modest cost. A 2 night minimum stay is required,; but we are already planning a longer stay in the near future!

Such a magical place in front of the Ebra river. What the two owners have done of this place is incredible. A little jewel in a timeless village where time goes by its own rythm. We felt at home immediately and had a hard time saying goodbye. Will definitely come again soon ! Thank you for sharing the magical vibes of this place with us.

The best place we have stayed in all of Spain. Attention to detail second to none, beautiful, comfortable and totally unique in every way. If you’re thinking about staying here, don’t think anymore - it’s amazing.

La nostra estada ha estat curta però intensa. Destacaria en primer lloc, l'atenció personalitzada immillorable de l'Aureli. Molt amable i un gran coneixedor i apassionat de la història de Miravet i l'entorn. Hem estat a l'habitació Murabit, cuidada amb tot detall com la reste del Palau. Ens hem sentit com a casa, i molt millor que en qualsevol hotel de categoria. En segon lloc a destacar, són les vistes des del balcó, fascinants i precioses. Molt relaxant. Un lloc ideal per desconnectar. Ens ha sorprès tot molt gratament. Un lloc molt recomanable i per tornar segur!!

Muy satisfechos con la estancia en el Palau de Miravet. La habitación que ocupamos es muy bonita y muy confortable. El espacio de la sala contigua con vistas al río es muy amplio, diseñado con muy buen gusto y apetecible para estar. Toda la decoración de la casa está realizada con muchísimo gusto, unos frescos en las paredes muy bien realizados. Los dueños de la casa han sido muy atentos y amables tanto en la visita guiada, como para cualquier otra cosa que necesitamos. Lo recomendamos para disfrutar de la naturaleza y de una estancia inolvidable. Muy gratamente sorprendidos

El Palau de Miravet, situat al casc antic, va ser restaurat i convertit en allotjament singular pel Joaquim i l'Aureli, uns grans amfitrions...que no només cuiden els detalls per a que et sentis com a casa (mirar fotos), sino que a més t'ofereixen tot tipus d'informació del poble, de la zona i de la història de Miravet.
El Palau disposa de 3 allotjaments, 2 apartaments (jo vaig estar al Joaquim Mir) al primer pis, separats per una sala plena de preciosos quadres (reproduccions dels del pintor impresionista Joaquín Mir 1873-1940) i unes golfes espectaculars que ocupen tot el 2n pis. Des de tots 3 els seus hostes poden gaudir d'unes immillorables vistes del riu Ebre al seu pas per Miravet, des de les seves terrasses, finestres i balcons.
Les pintures murals realitzades pel Joaquim a l'edifici doten a aquest d'elegància i bellesa.
Només vaig estar-hi 3 dies, però tot i la brevetat vaig gaudir-ho plenament i vaig aconseguir desconnectar de l'estrès de Barcelona i del dia a dia, relaxant-me des del primer moment.
Repetiria l'experiència sense dubtar-ho.
Per a qui visiti Miravet abans del 28 de setembre, a més, podrà gaudir d'una exposició, promoguda pel Joaquim, a l'antiga església vella (de divendres a diumenge) amb les obres de 70 escultores de l'ICRE, de diferent temàtica, materials i tècniques que segur que us sorprendrà i agradarà. Aprofiteu!!

La experiencia en el Palau de Miravet ha superado con creces nuestras expectativas. Es muy difícil encontrar espacios que transmitan tanto....El Palau es ARTE....cada rincón, cada detalle.
Además, situado en un enclave tan espectacular como es la orilla del majestuoso Ebro y todo ello...multiplicado por mil, al venir acompañado de una atención exquisita por parte de su anfitrión, Aurelio.
