Part of the park in the post river place. Recommend to have a long walk along the “river” to Museum of Art and Science. Al lot of nice places to see.

La ciudad de las Ciencias, Valencia Spain . People is very friendly. The month of January is a little bit colder than the rest of the year, but you still can take long walks in this beautiful side walk in the City of Cience. You can find hundreds of restaurants around the area where they have an amazing menu to choose from. Very cozy town ☺

An incredible resource, that is great for walking, cycling or running. A great flat way to get through the city with various things to do in the park along the way. At the end of the park are the great science museums and art/performance halls

It is very impressive the idea of making a huge park into the river's bed. At the begennings the Municipality wanted to make a highway, but the citizens voted for a green area. Very nice, green, with many paths for pedestrians and bikes. Also, the impressive architectural and futuristic buildings are breathtaking (opera house, ocenario, scientific museum, hemisphere). You cand also find food and restaurants. If you have Valencia on your list, it is mandatory to visit one by one the mentioned above attractions, including a walk along the park.

I just love Turia — you can cycle, run, chill, play, eat, read in nature.. This is one of the best public places I've ever been to

This whole park is amazing! Perfect for all types and groups of people from the sporting to the walkers, perfect for a lie down and rest or picnics, children and adults alike. There's so many exits, so it's easy to start and end your stroll wherever you please. It used to be a river, which explains its length and width, but turned into a magnificent park due to the hazardous nature of the river which often flooded (so I was told by our hotel reception staff). It's a must visit in my view!

1957. This was the year when the city of Valencia was flooded after several days of heavy rainfall. More then 80 people died and parts of the city was devastated. It was not the first time, as even in medeavel times floodings were witnessed so the only real solution was to reroute the Turia river away from the city into a new to build canal...so what to do with the empty old river bedding? The initial plan to transform it into a highway was abandoned and transformed into the birth of a brand new parc. As of 1996 several modern buildings were added creating the the City of Arts and Sciences and put new landmarks of the city of Valencia on the radar. Rent some bikes and discover the different aspects of this lively parc.

One of my favourite things about Valencia is this park. It's great to have such a sprawling green space in the city centre. It's teeming with runners, walkers, and families enjoying time together. There's plenty of sports clubs and also restrooms.

A great park to explore, with many activities, sports, and children's play areas. From the zoo at one end, to the incredible architecture at the other, it is easy to spend a lot of time in this park! Dedicated running and cycle routes along the length of the park.

This city park is beautiful. Family friendly for sure. The infrastructure of the with a man lying on the ground is a very unique place to play with kids. A must in Valencia!

This has to be the prettiest urban garden that I've ever seen and, definitely, the biggest of its kind in Spain. A huge green area that goes through the whole Valencia, like a river. The soil where it is built used to be a river indeed, but the city council decided to dry it up, due to the numerous flooding that were happening at the time. Nowadays it probably wouldn't be the case, since the climate there is increasingly getting drier and the little amount of rain that they receive, wouldn't be enough to cause such a natural catastrophe.

Anyways, what I recommend is to take a full day just to visit the gardens. Consider that it stretches from the beach all the way to the other side of Valencia. It's a long walk or, if you go by bike, a long ride. Grab water (a lot), sunscreen (a lot) and a big dose of strength (not too big though).

Your efforts will be highly rewarded by the beauty of the place, with its "little" forests of pine and palm trees, its many monuments (which includes the famous City of Science), its fountains and artificial streams, its cute cafes.

I'm not a big fan of the two wheels, so I usually stick with what nature gave me, but for those who love biking the park is incredibly well-equipped, with big bike lanes going through the whole park.

Spain is a very clean country and the Jardin del Turia is no exception. You won't see a single piece of trash, like in Switzerland. A gigantic standing ovation for the cleaning department then!

The chances that you won't like this Paradise are very little!

One of the best park I have ever seen. Very Big and you must prepare yourself to walk for long. Very ideal if you want to go for running in the neighborhood. Perfect to spend some time with close ones. Sometimes it get really busy. You will love the place. Must go if you are in Valencia.

Beautiful parks running along the dried river bed of the Turia. 9km of gardens, sports facilities and the fabulous Centre for Arts and Science. Perfect for walking, running, cycling or electric scooters. Beautiful and safe way to cross the city.

An amazing park! Built in the old Turia River basin because of the numerous floods the river provoked during the time, nowadays, this area becomes a great place for spending your time: walking, running, biking, walking the dogs, relaxing or shorting the distance between 2 points of interest. Beautiful!

Honestly all the parks in Valencia are top notch, but at this one I got to see a friendly group of birds with hairstyles that would make anyone jealous.

Great park with various types of plants and trees
It's better if you hire a bike for taking a round and see the whole park.

Valencia is a beautiful city. Especially the old city. These gardens are very special and go on for miles putting a green accessible public space in the heart of the city. There are changing themes as you go round and public art installations to find all the way round. Do not miss this when you visit Valencia.
