Basic-Fit Valencia Joaquín Costa

I spent more than a month in Valencia and did a lot of research on which gym to buy a pass for that time. I'm so glad I ended up choosing this one as I was extremely happy with it. It is well equipped, modern, clean, and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful.

In addition, Basic-Fit's app is very user-friendly and contains a lot of useful information, including countless creative recipes, as well as training tips and plans. The only shortcoming is that, unfortunately, the English version was only completed for certain contents, so there are pages in the app that are only available in Spanish.

The lockers in the changing rooms can only be used with the members’ own padlocks, so if anyone wants to leave their personal belongings there during training, they should definitely prepare for this.

The monthly pass has a very favorable price (25 EUR), and with a minimal price difference (+5 EUR), there is also an extended version, which includes, among other things, unlimited use of the massage chairs, as well as inviting a friend, which is really cool, but the daily ticket is disproportionately expensive in comparison (10 EUR), so it is definitely worth thinking about the monthly pass. The only thing I missed is that there is no option between these versions, so they don't offer passes for a week or for example 5-10 sessions. This was a problem in my case, however one of the receptionists (unfortunately I don't know her name, but she has a very nice face and works mostly on weekday mornings🙂) was very helpful in finding a solution for me, for which I am really grateful.

The only inconvenience I can mention is that the air conditioning set to 21 degrees was often uncomfortably cold, especially when it was 14-15 degrees warmer outside, and especially in the cardio section, where typically everyone sweats by the end of the workout.

However, I was perfectly satisfied with everything else, so I highly recommend this gym, not only in Valencia, but wherever it is available. I will definitely come back.🙂

Totally worth the 5 stars rating. Not many gyms in Valencia offer 1 month membership starting from the middle of the month, and they often charge you a sign in fee. Here you can get a membership from 15th to 14th next month, there is no sign in fee, and the price is good. Couldn't find better gym for travel

Such a good gym! loads of equipment, very big and staff are so helpful and lovely. Best one tried in Valencia.

This place is the best. The equipments are clean and plentiful (two squat racks and two smiths machines!). i have never had to wait for a long time to be able to carry out my exercises, unlike the previous gym i attended, which was sometimes borderline-unusable.
They also recently installed two massage chairs at the entrance. While you have to get the premium 40 euro plan (basic is 30 euros. It gets cheaper if you go for a one-year subscription) to use the chairs, I'd say it's worth it since with the premium plan, you are able to bring a workout partner anytime you want. Shout out to Valentina at the reception, who let me use the chairs for free! (Just for one day jaja)

Really impressed with this gym... Brand new equipment (Matrix) with plenty of free weights and plate loaded machines... A separate section for cardio, abs and classes... Very clean and well maintained... The service was really good... Only problem I has was no option for day passes I had to join for 4 weeks which worked out okay as I trained 4 days straight otherwise would of been pricey (30euros for 4 weeks)... All in all highly recommended

Great gym. They have 3 squat racks along with a variety of weights and machines. I was visiting Valencia and decided to stop in for a workout. Glad I made the stop as I got an awesome workout during my stay. Highly recommend!

Great gym . We got a warm welcome from Dani and Inez. They told us the rules and we had a good workout. Every thing is nice and clean. And people respect the rules. Compliments for the staff. We will come back.

Great gym, kind staff & good atmosphere

I moved to Valencia 9 months ago and Basic Fit in carrer de Joaquin Costa is the second gym we tried and I have to say; it’s the best. It’s airy, clean, the equipment is new and always immaculate. The staff is courteous, professional and you can always ask questions. Jonathan Gomez has been a great answering questions about how to use the equipment.

This gym is fantastic! It offers almost everything you need for a nice workout. In addition, there is a nice functional area with 2 pull up bars. Valentina, the girl who works at the front desk, was really helpful when I first arrived and always has a smile on her face. Thank you Basic-Fit!

Went to this basic fit, was very friendly staff Ostap especially! Has great equipment to for the price of 10 euros for day pass. Great when you training away from home

For over forty years now I've been maintaining an active gym membership at home in Canada.  This winter I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to Spain for a three-month period.  In order to continue to work out while away from home, I joined Basic-Fit for the duration of my stay here.

Basic-Fit on Carrer de Joaquin Costa in Valencia is one of the best gyms I have ever used.  It is clean, orderly, very well-equipped, and obviously well-managed.  I've been in a lot of gyms in the many decades I've been working out, and this one I recommend highly.

But amenities aside, it's the staff that can make a positive difference, and in that regard, Valentina is a real standout.  She is the only Basic-Fit employee I've seen on the days I use the facility.  She has always welcomed me with a warm smile and greeting, and she provided me with much-needed assistance the other day when I needed to arrange for the upcoming discontinuation of my membership prior to my return home at the end of the month.  Correction ... she did everything for me, and I just stood there wishing I could speak the language.  I've also noticed that she is always doing things at the gym, be it interacting with other members, ensuring that all free weights are in their proper places, realigning and wiping down the benches, or running a Swiffer-type mop along the floor edges where dust typically collects.  She's a star employee, in my opinion, and she deserves recognition for the extra effort she always puts in.

During my stay in Valencia I was able to make use of this gym. Even better than expected. I would advise to come over here if you really want to work out. My compliments ! Regards Frank from the Netherlands

We looked at five gyms before joining Basic-Fit. The gym is clean, they are well stocked with machines, weights and bands. Everything functions and is kept very clean. Laura, the personal trainer, is outstanding. She is professional and keeps activities appropriate, interesting and challenging. The gym staff is friendly and helpful. The gym is welcoming to all ages and physical abilities.

This is the best gym I have gone to in Valencia and the cleanest. I was going to tyres and paying 105 a month and it was dirty. The girls who work here are always cleaning. And they are very nice and always say hello.

They have 6 amazing drinks that you can refeel from every 20 minutes, healthy, fresh and yummy.

The equipment is brand new and the spaces are well organized; not to mention the super affordable subscription price and all its advantages!
