Bar Arrantzale

Traditional Basque tavern with three or four tables inside and a pretty large terrace. The food is all about pintxos and small portions to be shared. We really enjoyed the fried calamari and filled peppers. Perfect for a stop before or after strolling through the picturesque old port of Algorta.

From what I have noticed it is a place where locals go as well , good food, nice waiters
The original place is next door opened 20 years ago, this is an extension from what I understood anyway from the waiter

In the heart of Getzo, near Bilbao, this place has all the numbers to be one of the pest Pintxo places in town. Amazing location (5 min from the beach and on top of a parking), closed road (no cars), big terrace (with tables and umbrellas) and amazing food (from the smallest pintxo to the biggest racion everything smells and taste authentic and yummi).
This place does not serve at the table (as the traditional pintxo bar) you have to get in and tell the guys at the bar what you want.
Just go and enjoy.

Brilliant tavern in Algorta/Getxo with a lovely terrace. Friendly welcome, great food and fantastic wine. The location in the old port is very picturesque. We were there on a Saturday lunchtime and there was a fantastic buzz. Highly recommended.

Unique experience in Bilbao, history of drink created in the local, Kalimotxo, a beverage invented in the village. Lovely beach side.

Had pintxo for lunch on the patio and it was wonderful. Great atmosphere. Thought the sign is right at the top of the escalator from the beach, the restaurant is one street over. Open Mondays. Our server spoke great English and helped guide us through the menu.

Amazing pintxos and great looking place, you can then walk back to the seafront.

If you are going to walk around the bay call here first if you pass by from the tube station. The old village is worth a walk around and this bar with sea views, just about, and a great outdoor seating space is one of the last places you can get food and drink before the walk down the steps and around the coast. Very popular.

Lovely place, great tapas and great red wine! The lady who served us was very helpful.

We loved it. Great wine, great food and really nice people working there. Cosiest spot of Getxo.
