Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve

Amazing place with huge golden sandy beaches along the river as it snakes its way to the ocean. The water had a beautiful color on the day I drove through the area. Definitely worth a visit.

An awesome place where you can eat a lot and very well, surf, sightseeing and chilling out surrounded by nature.

Nice forests with Quercus ilex and Smilax, beautiful views

Exceptionally well informed bird watching area with a great array of migratory birds using this location as a staging point on their epic journeys.

Very beautiful area. It's also fun to drive there as the roads along the mountains are very curvy.

One of the most beautiful places you can visit along the Basque Country's coast.
From Gernika to Bermeo, passing by the little village of Mundaka or if you decide to go along the other side if the river mouth, head towards the beaches in Laida and Laga, continue to visit the village of Elantxove. Urdaibai won't disappoint any visitor

Brilliant bird reserve, informative, climb the tower for amazing views of the wetlands and bird life, including spoonbills! Amazing place.

Beautiful landscape, nature and beaches

Almost don't want to review as it would be a shame for this place to become popular as it might not be so pristine in the future. Still at it takes a long drive through winding mountain roads not everyone will access it. Even though it is remote it head free toilets and a couple of decent restaurants. The beach is majestic almost untouched surrounded by verdant green mountains... The drive there really is something else too so it makes for an amazing day out.

One of the most beautiful places in the Basque Country

This is a hidden gem. Not very crowded, lots of space, clean, lifeguards, free parking, great for families!

We enjoyed, lovely museum for visiting in amazing place. We should improve and be conscious with our lovely planet, keep it and take care of it.

Excellent beach, very clean with a touch of mountain nature on the landscape. Very cool with kids too and perfect for aquatic sports :)

Very interesting place to visit while going from Bilbao to Saint Sebastián. Interesting spots to have lunch and to have a beer. Do not hesitate to visit the caves, the painted trees or have a walk trip in the mountain around. The area is protected, prefer to visit early in the day as car parks are easily saturated.

Amazing place, spoilt for choice with the beaches in the area, great views up on the hills looking across the water and out over the ocean.

Beautiful beaches and lagune. Not to crowed because were spacious. Be careful with the mounting of the tide that can be very quirky .
