What an incredible place this is!! To be able to witness the remains of an ancient settlement is simply amazing! All you can do is sit, watch and ponder what it must have looked like back then!

A steep drive out of the village with the views only getting better and better. You pay a small entrance fee to a very happy gentleman in the ticket office. This gets you entry also to the museum. Lots of history and amazing views of the coast line.

We really enjoyed looking around the fascinating ancient village at the top of the hill. There are spectacular views when there is no cloud. It was interesting to have a look inside one of the reconstructed houses.

It's a nice detail that they rebuilt a couple of shacks but left everything else as is.

Wow. Wow. Wow.

Genuinely incredible site with spectacular remains and beautiful views of Galicia and northern Portugal. I’ve spent the past week exploring the Castro culture across Portugal and Galicia, and this is definitively one of the best sites to get an idea of the types of settlements that were being constructed.

There are a handful of signs which also include QR codes to audio guides in English, Spanish, Galician (and maybe French?) with lots of really good information to enjoy the site to the fullest.

The museum/visitor centre IS closed on Mondays, however, you can still access all of the site, so don’t be put off by Google saying it’s closed.

We came in from Vigo on the XG883A/B and the walk to the Castro is only about 20-30 mins from the bus stop (Rosalío de Castro, 11). The bus runs pretty regularly and Moovit appears to show an accurate schedule. However, the return bus doesn’t always stop in central Vigo (about 25 mins walk out) so just be conscious of that. Google Maps also DOESN’T show this bus route (at least to us) so use MoovIt instead.

We walked up from the campsite but can drive to the top. The views are brilliant and the historical buildings and monuments around the top are worth exploring.

Fascinating site in a stunning location. The idea of people living in a settlement up on this amazing hill with a sweeping panorama of the sea below truly deserves to be called epic. Just like the movies! The structure is impressive and the pattern of curved walls is beautiful to behold.

Great learning experience along with amazing views. You can drive nearly to the summit and there is a parking area. Be careful because the parking lot is lot very big and is packed during peak tourism times. The views of the Atlantic Ocean, oceanside villages, Portugal, and other surrounding areas is breathtaking. There arestairs to the summit and it is NOT handicap accessible.

Wow! What a beautiful place to be. Marvelous views over the atlantic ocean and the coast of spain and portugal aswell as the Minho river. The sunsets from here must be incredible. I enjoyed it very much up there.
Also very interesting to see the old celtic buildings (ruins) from thousands of years ago

Huge site of Celtic ruins. Just massive. We parked by a little building before the voltage, but if you keep going all the way to the village there is ample car and bus/camper parking. Roads are very well maintained. There are a few cute vendor stalls and a restaurant. Great lookout over the Atlantic and into Portugal

History is speaking here. Breathtaking views, sweet museum where, if you pay attention, you can learn a lot. Apart of the main reason to come here, one of the most enjoyable part was to come on the bike. Cars were literally parked everywhere and it felt strange seeing people attached to theirs 4 wheels in such a historical place. Just an observation. Worth to walk up or cycle.

A place you can not miss if you visit Rias Baixas. Amazing views. And a piece of the history of Galicia and Spain. All is very good indicated by signaling and friendly and helpful staff. You can access with the car until the top of the montain. Car parking. Toilets. Restaurant. Merchandising stores.

Awesome view, magic place! There are ruins of a celtic village in the middle of the mountain. A museum on the top of the Santa Trega explains all the history in that place. A day to remember.

Wonderful views up here.
The Atlantic Ocean at your feet, and Minho River, that borders Portugal and Spain.

Very nice location! for maximum effect, climb the mountain from the south via the Mirador of Outeiro do Lobo, a steep hike, and do the descent facing the celtic ruins
