Hotel Gernika

Old fashioned hotel - in a good way. Started with the most welcoming reception I’ve had on this trip, it’s clear that the staff here care how their guests feel. Room was very comfortable and the location is excellent - right on the edge of the centre. Also very cyclist friendly with a good breakfast to start the day. I’d come straight back if visiting Guernica again (which I shall, as it’s a lovely town).

We arrived early from the camino and were able to check in early. The hotel was nice with great service and a good, clean room! Central too, able to walk through city easily from location.

Great stay. Room larger than usual..felt luxurious in a slightly old fashioned way. Big bathroom with a window and natural light. Comfy bed..we didn’t have breakfast but was told it was great. Friendly and helpful guy on reception.

Very comfy one night stay while on the Camino.
Great room and deck. Fabulous breakfast and served from 7:00am. Central to the old town and restaurants.
One note- use the AC and don’t leave your door open like us- Mosquitoes 🦟! Otherwise fabulous, highly recommend.

Great hotel, good internet connection, super location and comfortable rooms with AC!
Accommodated our bikes in a private garage and we could walk all around town for food and local interests.

We arrived exhausted after a big day walking from Markina.

What a great team. The staff at this hotel are just fabulous- so warm, friendly and accommodating.
Nothing was a problem...

The hotel was very clean, rooms large and bathroom also had a bath shower which was most welcome.
Breakfast each morning was also welcome.

Wow, such friendly people, and a clean, quiet place. The staff were very accommodating of our bicycles and let us store them in a safe place. Highly recommended.

Amazing Staff who went above and beyond to help us resolve a luggage transfer issue with a third party. Wonderful Hotel, large rooms and great breakfast. Highly recommended.

Amazing staff and service. They really go above and beyond. Well stocked rooms as well, comfortable, with AC. Breakfast is not good though.

Very nice hotel, it lacks a restaurant. However, it's quite close to the pedestrian center filled with restaurants.

Very nice hotel in Gernika

Not far from the beginning of town. About 8 mins walking from the center. It's a proper 3 star hotel with air conditioning which is a treat in comparison to other simpler options along Camino de Santiago.

One issue is the water doesn't drain fast enough in the shower.

Estupendo hotel en una avenida principal de Guernica. La zona es muy tranquila con aceras muy anchas para pasear, zonas verdes y muy cercano al centro. Las habitaciones son muy amplias, perfectamente limpias y las zonas comunes muy acogedoras. Además nos permitieron usar el garaje, ya que fuimos un grupo grande con bicicletas. Disponen de un buffet libre sencillo por un suplemento de 10 euros de 7 a 10 de la mañana. Destacar también la profesionalidad y amabilidad de todo el personal del hotel. Sin embargo, lo más destacable es su humanidad. Creo recordar que una de las trabajadoras, llamadas Tere, fue excepcionalmente agradable conmigo y quería destacarlo especialmente. Seguro que volveré, ya que estoy muy agradecido por el trato y el servicio recibido!

Hôtel très agréable, accueil très chaleureux, lit confortable, accès handicapés ♿ sans problème, parking gratuit.
Bon emplacement calme, très bien situé à proximité du centre ville. Tarif raisonnable.
Le WiFi très difficile dans les chambres.

Buena habitación, y personal superamable. Es País Vasco y los precios son los que son.

desplazarse en coche por la zona o para dejarlo en el propio aparcamiento y moverse en transporte público. Habitaciones amplias, luminosas, cómodas y muy limpias, el desayuno muy rico con todo de calidad. La acogida y el trato inmejorable. Una estancia perfecta
