Finca Descalzos Viejos

Absolutely loved Descalzos Viejos winery in Ronda Spain! The winery was picture perfect with stunning views! And the wines were fantastic! I would highly recommend for any wine lovers touring Spain.

Flavio is an incredible savant of wine and culture, and it is reflected in his vineyard. He treated my entire family, like his own family, and has the top quality wines of Europe. We will be back.

We spontaneously stopped by the vineyard and, though there were no more tastings or tours that day, one of the founders, Flavio, gave us glasses of wine and invited us to enjoy the garden. There were tangerine trees, their branches heavy with the bright fruit. We drank wine, ate tangerines, and enjoyed the exquisite views. Flavio is warm and generous, our afternoon at the vineyard dreamy and surreal.

Very beautiful place. Be sure to call ahead to make sure they're open if you go. We hiked the Mirador de los pinos, with the intent of stopping here before the last leg back to Ronda, only to find they were closed for their harvest processing. A very gracious gentleman apologized (and gave us a taste of their wine!) and said we were free to look around the gardens and grounds.

I drove 1:30 hours to get to this place but what a nice place, what amazing people and great tasty different wine ... youcan smell all the different aromas in the wine ... really unique and great experience . They went out of their way to recieve me and wow... I am grateful ! Thank you for the experience

The visit to this vinyard was the highlight of my trip to Ronda. Such an amazing place, full of history and love. The landscape is beautiful, the wines are gorgeous and Flavio was a very kind, knowledgeable and friendly host. Superb,fascinating winery tour for my professional client and tasting session thanks to the kindness, generosity and professionalism of Flavio and Paco. The finca is steeped in roman,moorish and medieval history with amazing views of Ronda gorge and of their own vineyards. The wines we tasted a chardonnay and 5 reds were all of excellent standard, a real discovery. I would love to come back when they have a concert and spend more time relaxing in a wonderful place.

Amazing and gracious host. We accidentally got lost on a drive in Ronda and just as he was closing decided to let us come in for a wine given we had travelled all the way from Australia. Delightful history and amazing attention to detail with beautiful preservation of the past murals in the vast cellaring hall. Wish we had more time. I would love to come back for one of the music and arts events held there. Well worth booking a visit to taste and purchase some of their extensive wine.

We had an amazing visit to the Descalzos Viejos winery! The winery and setting are both beautiful. Our host Miguel was very knowledgeable and made our visit a joy. Not to mention, the wine was delicious! Definitely check this place out if you are in Ronda.

What a wonderful visit we had at DV winery! Flavio was an exceptional host, and made us feel welcome while he discussed the history of his winery. the view was breathtaking, which further enhanced our wine-tasting experience. thoroughly enjoyed meeting his staff, to include his dogs and cats (Dimitri).

We were guests at the Bodega and were warmly greeted and welcomed personally by Flavio Salesi who gave us the tour. It was informal and very relaxed and the two wines we tasted were excellent. The story behind the historic setting of the Bodega was interesting and the views across the valley were beautiful. Highly recommended.

Best winery on our Mediterranean Cruise yet!! Flavio was wonderful, down to earth, and fun!! The wine and winery is fabulous ♡ Everyone should go there if they have a chance!!
