We came up from the coast for a sunset ride and absolutely loved everything about it! The horses are extremely well looked after which for me is always important to make sure. Our hosts Sarah and Darren were very welcoming and catered for all our needs especially for our different levels of riding skills as my boyfriend has zero experience with horses. The property looks amazing and we will back for sure. After the ride we had a cool beer by the pool which was the perfect end to a perfect ride!

Immaculate & comfortable accommodation with delicious & beautifully presented breakfasts, stunning scenic riding in the mountains, sunset rides, picnic rides, the horses are all lovely & well cared for, when you’ve finished riding, relax by the pool & enjoy a meal out in the traditional pueblo. Both myself and my partner enjoyed our trek immensely. Sarah and Darren were fantastic and very accommodating. My partner had only ridden once but was immediately made to feel comfortable and safe.

We were very lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy beautiful Andalusian mountains during the trek. Highly recommendable! We will definitely be returning! 🤗

What a spot! And the owner Darren and Sarah are just amazing. They really love their horses and take care of them. The whole land and apartments are designed with so much love.
The apartments are very high class with all amenities you could wish for.
There is not only an amazing big pool with a great bar and mountain view, but a beautiful lake with an island which invites to relax.
They offer horse riding holidays with Darren who is hilarious and you'll have plenty of fun on a tour with him.
From September till June Cortijo El Chenil offers Yoga Retreats which will deeply relax you and, if you are open for it, change your life and open up your body, mind and soul for the greater.
Definitely worth a holiday there and Malaga airport (super cheap flights) is only half an hour drive.

Great trek on beautiful Spanish horses! Beautiful views, very nice and friendly staff, speed adjusted to riding abilities in our family. And perhaps most important of all: the horses are very well cared for! :-) Highly recommended. Tip: visit the village Casarabonela nearby if you go here, it's a very genuine Spanish mountain village.

The most amazing place luxury set in the Andalucian mountains of Spain don't, dream of a luxury holiday you can live it here the rooms are spotless the surroundings to die for and Darren and Sarah are the perfect hosts. we went out horse riding and Darren is an ex champion jockey he is so skillful. Darren and Sarah made our first time on a horse so special within minutes we felt like they were close friends and that we were being treated as special guests. Our horses Farah and Epico are really well cared for and the quality of care shows in the horses temprriment so gentle and sure footed we just sat back and enjoyed the ride through the Spanish countryside stopping for refreshments in a tiny village this was an amazing day that will always be in a special place in our hearts thankyou Darren and Sarah

Sarah and Darren are the most wonderful hosts! Their horses, apartments and the views surrounding the property are just stunning! I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Experiencia inolvidable, hicimos una ruta guiada por Darren y Amelia de dos horas, siendo nosotros novatos. Son expertos de verdad, nos explicaron todo muy bien, y el tiempo pasó muy rápido ya que estuvimos muy relajados en tan buenas manos. La Sierra de la zona es preciosa, y el recinto que tienen allí inmejorable. Repetiremos sin duda alguna. Mil gracias, guapos

Nos alojamos dos parejas y tres niños en una de estas maravillosas casas, desde la llegada hasta la despedida el trato por los propietarios fue excelente, las instalaciones tanto de la casa como de la piscina eran esplendidas y el entorno exactamente lo que buscábamos, desconectar de la ciudad, disfrutar de bbq, piscina y naturaleza.
Sin duda esperamos volver!!

El cortijo se encuentra en un enclave ideal para pasar un fin de semana inigualable, la casa es limpia y tiene una decoracion rústica a la par que moderna. Los propietarios son encantadores. Sin duda repetiré la experiencia.
