Zoo del Pirineu

We spent an amazing time there and learned a lot about the zoo and his purpose, the animals living there and why. Each has his own story. The people working there are very friendly and nice and explain all you need to know. Highly recommended to visit as you will learn a lot about the nature and its animals. Thank you Cristina and Jesus for introducing us to all the animals and their stories ❤

Had a tour where they show around the place and the animals, one of the staff is very nice, we didn’t speak spanish but she tried her best to give us a good experience 😊🦅

It's a small zoo, dedicated to the protection of members of local species that for various reasons cannot survive in the wild. You don't just pay to go in and wander around like most zoos, everything is an activity. Guided tours, petting zoo, various experiences for group, and a show of mammals and birds of prey.

It's not super cheap, (they have to survive without government money) but all the activities have a personal touch that makes them special, the people genuinely care about the animals, and the location is spectacular. Wild vultures overhead as a bonus.

We can particularly recommend the experience with owls.

The experience was amazing. It is not a common zoo. It is more than that. The work the staff do is very important, taking care of wild animals and helping them to go back to nature. The exhibition with birds of prey was impressive. Stania and Eloi do that very enjoyable, interacting with the birds and some wild mammals. But the highlight was the experience with owls! Such a pleasant thing to have owls in your arms, too see them fly to you, to interact with them... Highly recommended!

This is a Must Visit for anyone in love with nature, wildlife or wanting to teach their children about them. Don’t be fooled by the name: it’s not a “real” Zoo! It’s a rescue center managed by professionals that allows you to get in contact (yes, some of them you will be able to touch and caress) with wild animals who cannot be released in the wild for whatever reason. It’s a wonderful win-win! You get to see and learn about animals you normally wouldn’t be able to approach and they use tickets to keep rescuing and feeding animals. Donations welcomed too :-)

Brilliant afternoon visit with family (2 kids) doing the Petting Zoo (Toco Toco) for about 1 hour. Coffee and drinks available and a gift shop. Children loved petting the falcon, eagle 🦅, duck 🦆, chicken 🐔, rabbit 🐰, deer 🦌 etc. Good storytelling done in Catalan, Spanish, English, about each animal and bird, with "new" facts to take away. Nice views over the valleys below.

Beautiful setting, kids loved it, do the tour and petting zoo portion. Must visit with kids.

Not to be missed, people there really care about their animals and the petting experience is something your kids will remember for a long time. Educational, too! The souvenir shop is a must, too!

Una experiència imprescindible. Hi vàrem fer 3 activitats: l'exhibició de vol, la visita guiada i l'experiència animal. Totes molt recomanables, sobretot l´ultima! Per gaudir amb tota la família. Gràcies per tot Stania i equip! Molt bona feina!!!

Maravilloso lugar donde cuidan, rescatan y devuelven a la naturaleza animales a los que se les da una segunda vida. Recomiendo la visita. Ideal para los niños. Todas las personas tenemos mucho que aprender de estos lugares. Un 10 para el personal que trabaja allí!!!Ojalá las administraciones tomarán conciencia de lo importante que son estos lugares. Gracias por estar ahí.

Experiencia inolvidable per a tota la familia! El tracte dels propietaris/treballadors es impecable, donar-lis les gràcies per la gran feina que duen a terme i per permetren's entrar a casa seva. Ens enduem molts bons records tant els petits com els grans.

Val molt la pena reservar una o dos activitats. Les explicacions de l'Eloi i la resta van ser esplèndides. I el treball de recuperació i reintroducció de fauna que hi fan no té preu.

Experiència 100% recomanable. És un lloc únic on poder aprendre sobre la fauna del nostre pais i prendre consciència de la necessitat de protegir-la. També duen a terme una gran labor en el rescat d'animals salvatges i la seva reintroducció al seu medi.
Hem pogut fer les activitats de la visita guiada, toca toca, exhibició de vol i la experiència animal. Totes han sigut genials, les persones que les duen a terme son molt didàctiques en les explicacions i el tracte molt amable i proper.
Visita imprescindible si ets amant del medi natural.
Nosaltres ja estem pensant en quan tornar i poder experimentar la resta d'activitats que proposen.

Molt contents amb la visita! La Naiara ens ha atès molt bé i ens ha explicat les característiques i la situació de cadascun dels animals que hem vist (molts i diferents), ja que cadascun té la seva història del perquè estan aquí i no es poden alliberar (en alguns casos, per sort, sí que es pot). Malgrat això, poder veure'ls de tan a prop és tota una experiència, molt bonic.
Vull recalcar que amb les visites i experiències que ofereixen, com també les donacions i apadrinaments, poden dur a terme aquesta tasca i l'habilitació i millora d'espais pels animals. Per tant, animo a tothom que hi vingui ;)
A més, fan una tasca molt educativa en tema mediambiental, pel que és molt interessant per escoles i instituts.
