Brasería Restaurante "La Tinaja"

From the outside you would never image what is hidden inside this "venta" behind the yellow facade you´ll find a big restaurant set into caves in the rock! As soon as you set foot inside you feel that it´s a great place for traditional food. What caught me by surprise is the openness of the team working there and above all the passion that the head chef Mario transmits when he speaks about his food. It´s not often you have lunch, and the chef comes to ask how everything was. One thing I really liked was the idea of products kilometre 0, the idea of bringing the best of the local produce to your table.

We enjoy a selection of both traditional dishes and some new plates I ´ve never tried such as artichokes with foam and the pig´s feet. There wasn´t a dish that I didn´t enjoy, but I think the ribs with the crunchy honey glaze took the prize as my favourite. The puddings were all homemade, we devoured a tiramisu, and we fought over the fresh cheese flan with a brûlée finish.

Stop by from Murcia to Granda, had a great lunch here. We tried the soup, salad and staek. All of them are tasty! A cute restaurant.

Just outside of Guadix you can have an excellent dinner. Go and have a drink and enjoy the tapas, but be sure to save room for a main course and dessert. The steaks (solomillo de ternera and solomillo de vacueno) are absolutely fantastic. Finish your dinner with a homemade dessert (pan de Calatrava and cheese cake are heartily recommended). Combine with a good wine. The service is friendly and helpful, prices are okay.

Perfect pit stop to enjoy meat or mushroom. All grilled on natural wood charcoals!

Stopped for lunch on our drive between Malaga and Valencia. They were busy but fit us in. Had the garlic lamb and 1/2 dorado. The food and service were great. Definitely recommend.

Very authentic, very good food, especially meat, and the tapas nearly had us too full to eat a main meal. The desserts were home made and wonderful, the host very welcoming and his home made cheese and liquor had us buying some for home. This place is very worth a visit if you are passing as it deserves its number 1 rating. One of our best meals in Spain.

Great food and service

Es uno de nuestros restaurantes favoritos de la provincia de Granada. Hemos estado ya 2 veces en este restaurante al parar en Guadix para almorzar y lo recomiendo totalmente. Raciones grandes sobre todo las ensaladas y carnes de buena calidad y sabrosas. Hemos probado el codillo y las costillas de cerdo y nos encantaron. Si quieres comer en el interior, mejor llamar para reservar mesa porque se llena rápido y encima no tienes mucho espacio para el aparcamiento.

Restaurante ubicado en la entrada de Guadix que ya había estado con anterioridad hace muchos años y la atención fue excelente. En este caso he estado con un grupo de 8 personas y el servicio sigue siendo rápido y eficaz. Pedimos raciones para compartir de chorizo y morcilla y reinterpretación de cartea y luego un plato individual cada uno (pisto con huevos). Tienen gran variedad de productos para elegir y todo de calidad. Precios correctos.
