Calle Horno, Casa de vacaciones

We had the privilege of staying at this wonderful place for a week in March. What's not to love? Castril itself is the most wonderful authentic Spanish town with so much to do and explore and the friendliest of people. The house itself is perfectly located, right in the heart of the town within a stones throw of everything you need. There are three huge bedrooms and two bathrooms, all tastefully decorated and the beds were so comfortable!!! The kitchen is superbly equipped with everything you need for a long stay. No, you can't park right near the property but you can get very close to unload your belongings and there is ample free parking within a 2 minute walk. The hosts Tanya and Duncan were available via Whatsapp for anything we needed. We could easily have stayed for longer and we will be back someday.

We visited Castril for the walk along the gorge which was beautiful, and we chose Calle Horno for its location and we are so pleased that we did, just a 2 minute walk to the town square for the bars and a 5 minute scramble down a path to the gorge. The house itself was lovely, well fitted out with all the mod cons but also nicely decorated that fits with the style and age of the house. There is a small terrace outside which is a nice spot to sit with a G&T after a day exploring. Perfect accommodation for a visit to this beautiful little town. Friday is market day if you like local fresh produce!

This is a fabulous small mountain town with stunning views & beautiful countryside walks. Has wonderful vibe with great places to eat drink & soak up the tranquillity of the region. The property is fantastic and has everything needed for a relaxed holiday! It is situated in the heart of the town & with in easy reach of the Lakes which make this region famous. Can not wait to return again and again !

How could you not love this house and village? The house is well equipped and imaginatively decorated. The village is charming as it clings to the side of the mountain with everything close to hand.

Ubicación perfecta para todo (senderismo,comida,turismo,etc.). Una casa con encanto si te gusta lo rural. A mis padres a mí nos encantó y además calidad/precio genial. Cortesía de bastante leña. Posiblemente volveremos!!

Lo bueno: Ubicado en el centro de Castril, pero sin lugar para poder aparcar. Se puede dejar coche muy cerca de la puerta para descargar las maletas. Limpieza muy buena. El anfitrión nos esperó a nuestra llegada. Buena limpieza de las habitaciones. Casa muy grande en tres plantas, con amplias habitaciones y para un grupo de hasta 6 personas. Lástima que por el frío no haber disfrutado el estupendo patio que tenía la casa.

Lo malo: Saltaba el ICP del contador de la luz constantemente al tener varios aparatos acondicionados a la vez o alguna luz de más, imprescindibles porque la casa en otoño/invierno es muy fría. La distribución de la casa es un poco caótica pero tiene su encanto. Lo malo es que para ir a la cocina hay que salir por el patio, con lo que en los días de lluvia y frío es un poco coñazo. La puerta del baño de la planta baja tiene unas rendijas por la que se ve a cualquier persona que lo esté usando.

Un impresentable, teníamos la casa reservada para el finde del 6 al 8 de octubre, nos la ha cancelado por la cara, dejándonos tirados y sin haber ningún alojamiento mas para esas fechas en todo el pueblo. 0 Recomendable, nada de compromiso, hemos intentado contactar con el y no contesta, emprenderemos acciones legales.
