Hotel Garelos

This place is a gem. Really great staff, good location in central Betanzos, nice rooms. 100% would come back and would recommend for anyone doing the Camino Ingles or in Betanzos fit another reason.

Breakfast is lovely, rooms clean with air-conditioning (not that you really need it most of the time in Galicia) and a nice modern bathroom. Credit to all the team there for a great little hotel.

Absolutely amazing! Two minutes away from center town, breakfast included and rooms super clean! The breakfast was nice, (some food was packeted) rooms amazing, beds were super comfortable. This hotel is not overpriced and underrated taking into account it is only two stars. This is absolutely recommended if you are looking for a homecoming, central, clean, comfortable and pet-friendly hotel.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Betanzos. A welcome retreat for weary Camino walkers. Super helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast, very good value.

The hotel specializes in serving Camino Pilgrims along with other types of tourists. The hotel owner, who was working in reception, goes out of her way to take care of footsore Pilgrims. Soon after I stumbled in the door in March she handed me a portable footbath which told me a lot. She also helped me make my next night's reservation and gave excellent self-care advice regarding walking the Camino. The hotel Garelos is also lovely with an artistic touch, excellent rooms, and comfy beds. Breakfast is tailored to your needs and a great way to start the day. If you are in town make this place your choice.

Fantastic hotel. Great location in centre of town and lovely rooms. Everything works as it should inc. electric radiator in bathroom for drying clothes and electric window shutters. Breakfast is everything you need. Staff are polite and hard working, and fortunately also speak English. It's more a 4* than 2* hotel.

Fantastic staff, huge rooms, super clean. A little pricey for pilgrims, but worth every centivo.

Staff even welcoming after I checked out. Fresh orange 🍊 juice was truly appreciated.

Hotel muy bien ubicado en el centro de Betanzos , personal amable, habitaciones muy cómodas con decoración y ambiente muy agradable. Todo muy limpio. A destacar el desayuno con productos de elaboración casera, gran variedad, calidad y detalles en cuanto a presentación y decoración.
