CARAMBOLA - gelat artesà de Barcelona

Visited this wonderful ice cream place just 2 minutes away from Sagrada Familia. We had a whole variety of options, including churros, hot chocolate, and coffee. The best flavours would be strawberry cheescake and snickers. The ice cream tasted super fresh and creamy, absolutely wonderful place in Barcelona!

Edit 05/12/2024: Came back again and got the Catalan Cream and Lemon Ginger flavours. I highly recommend these ones, they are sooo good!! Catalan Cream is like a vanilla custard flavour with bits of brulee’d sugar, so basically a creme brulee in gelato format. Lemon Ginger seriously lives up to its name, just pure concentrated lemon flavour with bits of ginger that isn’t spicy to complement the gelato. It is sour and refreshing!

We were looking for a nice treat to end the night after our first dinner in Barcelona, and this gelato shop was perfect! They have a lot of flavours and let you try them. They also give big scoops so it’s a great value for the portion! I really liked the cookie they add on top, it’s super crispy and light.

I’d post a picture, but apparently that triggers a “policy violation” for whatever reason…

We are vegan and even with my poor Spanish speaking skills the man behind the counter was super full helping with options and even pulled out a professional diet chart for his cones to check and reassure.

The ice creams we selected were so nice! The dark chocolate was crazy tasty, kids loved it and I had it mixed with another flavour and it was so nice!

I took two scoops - crema catalana and dulce de leche, both were delicious as heaven, and the portion is huge!! I expected it to be way smaller for such price in the most touristic spot of Barcelona. Must try!

Quite a surprise with a great Gelato shop near Sagrada Familia. Very tasty and good price for a tourist place like this. I suggest this shop over the most overpriced Gelato around the city center.

Out of all the gelato we tried in Barcelona, this one was the best! We tried the Pistachio and Mango gelato and they were both sooo amazingly good!! Hope to go there again someday! :)

when the owner (or staff? I’m not too sure..) came out and spoke Italian, we knew we came in the right shop. I would give 9/10 authenticity, really great gelato!! I should have tried their churros & choc too 🥲

We tried many gelato shops while visiting Barcelona and this was the favourite. Friendly, efficient staff. We looked at each shop for Rum & Raisin and this was the only place we found it. Delicious gelato at a good price.

A must to stopby , if you around this area. The Gelato is smooth and soft yet able to enjoy the textures and flavor.

We got Churros and Chocolate, followed by gelato.
The Churros were excellent, service was quick and price reasonable. For such a simple dish nothing more could be expected.

The gelato was brilliant. I would strongly recommend the fruit flavours, Melon, Mango and Lemon were all excellent. Natural texture and taste with a large selection of flavours. Pricing is very reasonable too.

Enjoy one of the best inexpensive gelatos while walking around Sagrada Familia. There are endless flavours ranging from classic vanilla to Mango Aleovera. But my favourite was Barcelona’s special ‘Crema Catalan’ for its unique sweetness and crunch. Unsure of a flavour? Feel free to ask to taste. It’s a popular spot so get ready to queue up a bit but it’s definitely worth it!

Great place for churros and chocolate (xurros & xocolata) that you can enjoy in a nearby park with a view on Sagrada Familia.

One of the best gelatos in Barcelona (and I have tried most of them!) - highly recommend the dark chocolate and the lemon pie.

Tasty gelato, very creamy texture and the flavor is👌I was impressed they have the Bronte pistachio (for the epic flavor experience I would still recommend eating it on Sicily). The other flavor I tried was Sacher cake and to me the gelato taste was much better than the Sacher cake itself. The two flavors together were a great combo. 💚

Might be the best gelato around… randomly near sagrada familia too.

Very delicious, many different flavours, nice staff. Everything is very clean and hygienic. They don’t touch the ice cream and waffles. You can pay cash or by card or touchless. Recommend highly!

The mint is just so goooooddd. We are just visiting Barcelona, but we have to eat this gelato place 2 times!!!!! I also tried the dark chocolate and vanilla. They are goooood tooooo, but my favourite is mint. The staff is friendly. You pay to a machine to get charge. Maybe smaller bill is better((I don't know, just wondering))

Amazing gelato. We stopped randomly and got gelato for the kids. Portions are good and the taste is amazing. Definitely worth stopping by.
