Fabulous location inside a castle ruin.
Lovely room, clean and comfortable.
Staff are amazing, so professional and helpful.
From reception, to housekeeping and breakfast service, all good.
They must have hundreds of guests but the breakfast service is impeccable. Ask for anything and it arrives with speed.
Praise to all involved.

Wonderful parador, superbly located with amazing views. Staff are lovely, with good knowledge of the surrounding area. Food is excellent, I’d really recommend a rate which includes dinner, it’s a great choice. Highly recommended and the rooms are a great size.

A Memorable Stay at an Exceptional 4-Star Hotel

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a remarkable 4-star hotel that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made me feel truly welcome. Every aspect of my stay, from the delectable cuisine to the refreshing poolside experience, left an indelible mark on my memory.

The culinary experience at this hotel was an absolute delight. The chefs crafted a diverse and mouthwatering menu that catered to all palates. Each dish was expertly prepared, and the flavors were simply divine. Whether I chose from the tantalizing buffet or savored the carefully crafted à la carte options, my taste buds were treated to a symphony of deliciousness. The restaurant staff were attentive and personable, ensuring that every meal was a delightful experience.

The hotel's pool area was an oasis of relaxation and enjoyment. The provision of complimentary towels added a thoughtful touch, allowing guests to dive into the crystal-clear water without any concerns. I spent countless hours basking in the sun, enjoying the serene surroundings, and taking refreshing dips to escape the summer heat. The poolside service was top-notch, with attentive staff readily available to fulfill any request, be it a refreshing beverage or a light snack. The entire experience was a perfect balance of luxury and tranquility.

One of the highlights of my stay was the well-appointed room, which provided both comfort and convenience. The presence of a mini-fridge was a thoughtful addition, allowing me to keep my drinks cool throughout the day. The room itself exuded elegance, with tasteful decor and plush furnishings. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, ensuring a comfortable and restful night's sleep.

Beyond the amenities, it was the hotel staff who truly made my stay exceptional. Every encounter was marked by genuine warmth, friendliness, and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure my comfort. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, their dedication to providing impeccable service was evident at every turn. Their knowledge of the local area and willingness to offer recommendations added an extra layer of personalization to my stay.

In conclusion, my experience at this 4-star hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The delicious food, friendly staff, complimentary pool towels, and thoughtful room amenities all contributed to an unforgettable stay. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly remarkable experience. I am already looking forward to my next visit, as this establishment has undoubtedly set a new standard for excellence in hospitality.

I would probably give this a 4.5 if I could, but the hotel was in a stunning location with amazing views. The rooms were well sized and clean. Jack and Jill bathroom with plenty of space.
Only downfalls were that the beds were incredibly hard, the walls a bit thin (I imagine from it being older) and the restaurant food was uninspiring and expensive. That being said, the buffet breakfast was really good for a small town (don’t expect a huge chain-hotel-like buffet) but it had a good variety and was always being restocked.
I would definitely recommend this spot and would come here again :)

One of the more impressive historic 'Paradores'. It's an old castle on a hilltop, turned into luxurious hotel. Since Tortosa isn't that much of a touristic hot-spot (although well worth a visit), it's very affordable. The views a just stunning, 360°. Swimming pool is BIG.

Very nice hotel my youngest daughter told me she felt like a Princess in this medieval Castle;)
Rooms are spacious and beds are good. The views are breathtaking over the city. The whole ambiance feels like a few 100 years back but with great service.

Very nice hotel, beds are good, room is big, bathroom is big.
The views are amazing!
Pool is great, big and deep too! You can actually swim in it and not just splash, there is also a section of the pool voor little ones. The climb to the hotel is very steep, so it you want to go for a walk in town, be prepared.
Balcony was welcome addition to the room!
Airco was working, but some weird reason it was way too warm at night.
Definitely recommend!

We spent one night here and very much enjoyed it. Lunch at the bar was much better than expected. I had a plate of Catalonian sausages and my husband had an ox tail sandwich, which was much like pulled pork. The local wines were also good.

The rooms are quite nice, with double sinks in the bathroom and a generous balcony. The breakfast buffet had many choices and was just what I was looking for. Each person gets their own tongs so there aren't any shared serving utensils. Great idea.

Friendly staff, good food, nice ambiance. The parador is located in an old castle, has a swimming pool with a wonderful view over the city, the cuisine is local, rural and very tasty. And the staff very friendly (most of them speak english and/or french).

Beautiful hotel. Only problem it is on the top of a very steep hill, so elderly and infirm definitely need to use car on any outing. Food excellent. Lovely pool and grounds

Really good parador can recommend a stay here. Food of a good standard for most dishes. Close to the town but you need to use a car due to the very steep hill back up to the hotel. They do need to sort the heating out though, we complained about our suite being cold even though the thermostat was up to 35! But nothing was done about it.

Fantastic views from this historical building in the center of town. From your balcony you overlook the town, the river and have the mountains in the background, it really is a pinch yourself view. Very reasonable food and drink prices for a prestigious hotel.

Another wonderful stay at Parador de Tortosa. It's a regular stopping place for us. We usually stop there and another Parador on our way back and forth to UK. Lovely views, the staff are always friendly. The surrounds and history are awesome.

Excellent hotel retrofitted from an ancient castle fortress. Wonderful morning breakfast selections included in the room rate. Phenomenal view of Tortosa, the ancient city and the surrounding area!

What a lovely place. Outstanding views (not for the faint hearted with steep approach roads). Great friendly service and comfortable rooms. Well worth a visit.

Where else can you swim in a castle grounds? Loved this hotel. Only sad thing was they didn't make any special fuss of us on our honeymoon despite us notifying them on booking.
