Hotel Rural Casa Xusto

Two tired pilgrims had the honor of staying at this hidden gem. Our room was impeccably clean, and the decor was charming!
The reception staff was absolutely phenomenal. I can't say enough about our experience.

A fine place to start our way to Santiago by bike. This hotel has old-fashioned looks, has semi-safe bike storage in an outdoor bathroom (not sure if it’s the same when it’s busy) and lovely rooms with spacious bathrooms.

We didn’t eat here, as we visited a nearby restaurant instead (owner pointed us there on a map, see photo), but we did get a lunch package from the staff the next morning, which was made vegan on request. Nice touch!

We stopped here for a night on our way to Compostelle and were so happy we did.
The host is just amazing! Very welcoming and friendly. We strongly recommend this beautiful and comfortable place.

Sometimes when you are on the Camino you just feel like perhaps you need a bit of luxurious comfort. If you are passing through La Caridad, Hotel Xusto is your place. The owner of the Hotel is perhaps the kindest, most generous host we’ve ever met in Northern Spain. He wasn’t just attentive to our party. Every single guest, whether they were walking in off the Camino, or driving to spend the weekend at La Caridad’s absolutely fabulous beach, was offered something cold to drink and a sample of Austurian specialties. The Hotel itself is gorgeous, the rooms are stylish yet cozy and the bathtub- with jets- is just what the doctor ordered after a day of walking.

As an aside, I don’t quite understand why the beach at La Caridad isn’t on some list of « top ten most beautiful beaches in Spain. » Given a choice between the beaches at Navia or Ribedeo I would choose La Caridad hands down.

The hotel itself is done in a beautiful and fun, antique style which reminded us of a castle. Every place you looked was something interesting, and the garden was beautifully dressed. Nothing to complain at all regarding services. (wish the bar was open, but sadly we visited off season ;))

Luckily the hotel clerk was the most friendly and helpful person we've ever met in a hotel so he was more than glad to help us out finding a nice place for a drink. He even went to the back and grabbed us a glass of wine from the storage! Which was on the house

The next day I saw him walking around the garden and near our campervan. Turned out he noticed the plants we have in the window and he picked some flowers from the garden to add to our little collection. Truly a person for whom going the extra mile is second nature. Would recommend!

Excellent stop along the Camino del Norte. The rooms were comfortable and the hosts were very accommodating and friendly. This is a great place for a relaxing vacation or just a beautiful place to stop along the Camino.

A real gem. Great rooms in a historic building. Excellent attention to detail throughout, and the grounds are beautiful. Check-in was easy, and made even easier by the cervesa and pinxtos I was offered! For those walking the Camino (del Norte) it's just one block off the Way.

Very friendly staff, plus an excellent quality and value associated restaurant just round the corner. The accomodation and communal areas are 100% authentic delightful Spanish culture. Cannot praise highly enough. Would revisit without hesitation.

Historical farm converted into a charming guest house. The host offered us some beer on the house after a long day on the Camino del Norte. Great service and location. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic old building, beautifully restored. Great hosts. Great location for walking (including the Camino). Nice small town for cafes, restaurants, supermarket etc, and close to beaches.

Awesome hotel from service to comfort. Peep and his Son are absolutely attentive to your every need. If you are planning on spending the night somewhere as tourist or pilgrim than here is a must.
