Albergue Camino y Leyenda

May 20223 - One of the nicest albergues enjoyed by my wife and I along the entire Camino. The rooms are clean and comfortable, tastefully decorated to retain their old world charm. The street hanging balcony is a great place to unwind while watching pilgrims passing by to further villages. The 2nd floor back patio is the place to soak up the sun and enjoy the beautiful views. The communal meal was one of the best of our Camino - tasty hearty home cooked local fare with local wine, more than enough for everyone. Coffee on a timer and breakfast basics were a nice touch for early morning risers. Our hostess Maite was warm and welcoming, treating guests like family. She and her hard working husband had only recently purchased the albergue - we wish them all the best.

This is an absolutely superb albergue on the Camino. It may look quaint from the outside, but don't let that fool you. The floors containing the rooms and the small dormitory have been updated to a high and modern standard. The bathrooms and shower rooms are super clean, as are the rooms.

This albergue is run by a wonderful and friendly lady called Maite. She is very welcoming and will also cook you a home-cooked meal if you wish.

There is a comfortable balcony out front and a nice patio in the back where you can also hand-wash some clothes.

Overall, a wonderful and peaceful albergue.

Hands down, the best place I have stayed on the Camino. The hospitality and welcoming from the 2 hosts was lovely. The hosts could speak great English and were just so delightful. The beds were comfy, and the sheets and towels were perfect. It was so nice to sleep in a comfy bed with a nice dooner. They even did my washing. I asked where the washing area was, and they said no, no, we will do it for you.. And the dinner was delicious, best meal I have in an Albergue. Overall 10 out of 10.

The best albergue I have stayed at while on the Camino.
Two single beds in the rooms, clean towels, blankets and sheets, the beds are already made for you. Nice and welcome surprise after the bunk beds, disposable sheets for pillows and mattresses/sleeping bag routine.
Quiet, calm place, no crowds, the hosts are nice and welcoming and the food is delicious as well.
This is the ideal place after a long walk.

Top quality place on the Camino. Helpful, positive host gave me directions to a small place to relax next to the river. Basic breakfast included. Very clean hostel. Individual beds and rooms available.

We were so well looked after! The ladies who run the albergue treat you so well and are so friendly, it’s like staying with family. Lovely rooftop terrace where you can have a beer while watching your laundry dry.

Rooms were nice and cool even with the heat. Host Marta was the best part of our visit. We were well fed and rested after staying here.

Welcoming smile, hospitality above and beyond. A gem!! Like being at home. The owner made several calls on our behalf to help us make arrangements. The food was great too.
Only wish we could have stayed longer.

This is the place where you want to stop after a long day of Camino! The owner is very nice and there is the chance to have a delicious common homemade dinner. Rooms are clean and cozy, nicely arranged in the old house. Highly recommended.

New management March 2021. Joe and his family are wonderful with giant hearts. He may have a glass of wine and share his family's story if you are very very lucky! The family makes this alburgue a special experience. The rooms are nice, private with very reasonable prices. The food is amazing!

Stayed here one night while on the Camino. The beds were comfortable, food was amazing, and the Hosts Jou and Natalie were Great. Seriously some of the best food we've had on this trip.

Incredibly helpful hosts! Sorted us out with a delicious breakfast and so much useful information about our trip. Helped facilitate baggage transport as well! Lots of great stories were shared. And we had just stopped in for breakfast! Highly recommend a stop here.

The food was amazing. Best food in the camino. The room was well appointed and very clean. A very friendly cat roamed around. The host was friendly and helpful.

Comfortable and beautiful albergue. Nice living room area with comfortable chairs and sofa, 2 terraces, nice kitchen, and rain shower! Kind owner who served good coffee. Nice decor helped me relax!
