Very good albergue. The couple who manage it is very attentive and always available. Very clean with all the necessary conditions for pilgrims. The only thing missing is a light and a personal socket in each bed. Mixed showers!

Wonderful albergue with really loving and caring hosts!

I stayed with Marisa and Carlos for the second time in 16 months, and loved it. Their albergue is perfect, is superbly clean and has everything a pilgrim needs. The sunny garden behind the house is secluded and beautiful, and your washing dries in the sun in no time. The bathrooms and facilities are modern, immaculately clean and spacious.

Marisa and Carlos welcome you personally to their home and know your name. They wish you good night before lights go off. They help you with anything you need - in my case, I suspected that I was providing transport in my sleeping bag to bed bugs from some precious place, and Marisa washed my sleeping bag and all clothes in the washing machine and then „roasted“ them in the dryer for almost an hour :-) Thank you very very much!

I highly recommend Albergue Gaia to any decent pilgrim on the Camino and hope to be back again some day!

Very clean and spacious bathrooms
Functional kitchen and it is kept neat and clean (thank you)

Plenty of usable space, both indoor and outdoor for hanging out (especially in summer)

Dorm rooms have 4 bunk beds (8beds total). Pretty well kept

Excellent place! They know what pilgrims need!

Not a huge albergue which i liked - Marisa and Carlos were such fantastic hosts. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was large and well-equipped with everything you need.
The backyard terrace is spacious and nice to relax in. Would definitely recommend staying here!

really nice albergue. the owners are very geniune and take good care of pilgrims. it's very clean and everything is in good working order. €8 per night. open in winter. €2 to wash, €4 to dry or €5 for both. has a great kitchen. showers are a bit small but the water is hot. thoroughly recommended

Wash and dry was 6E and they do it for you, returned nicely folded. Gracious hosts, clean facilities and a simple but nice breakfast, donativo. Close to the main plaza and the DIA grocery store.

This is a brand-new albergue, only about 1 month old as of this post. It was recommended to me by a hotel and restaurant owner in the town, claiming it would be well worth the €8 (as the municipal albergue is only €5). He was right. The place was very clean, very comfortable, and modern yet charming and spiritual. They made us feel at home immediately, and theirs was the best donativo-breakfast yet the next morning. I don´t think this is common, but they even shared a delicious paella with me in the evening, and some wonderful family conversation.

I highly recommend this establishment. It is too new to be in most guides, but it was highly worth the detour.

I stayed at Albergue de Gaia in April '16. Beautiful, comfortable, excellent location, hot showers, comfy bunks, grassy area out back for lounging and the owners Carlos and Marisa are wonderful!! A group of about 8 of us made dinner in the beautiful kitchen.

This albergue was extremely clean and very accommodating. The host was very kind and made sure all were happy. My husband's backpack never arrived and the host drove back to the last albergue and brought it to us. Stay here.

Awesome awesome awesome. Everything is clean, new, comfortable, you name it. Super nice hosts. They heard me talking about my headphones who got broken and gave me new ones! :0 Really nice sitting zone outside, with a garden.
Only disadvantage : a little too tiny

Best Albergue I have ever visited during the camino. Even treated with special cake and surprise present on the Epiphany. Friendly hospitalero, clean beds, and superb shower booth and toilet. Highly recommended.
