By far best restaurant in Valencia!
We ended up here by chance with no reservation and they were not even open but they accommodated us with a great attitude. The food was FANTASTIC! They have a great wine selection, the staff is friendly and can’t say enough about the food.

For our first evening in Valencia I booked a table for my boyfriend and me in restaurant La Càbila.

We started the meal with two excellent glasses of cava, a perfect start of the evening. We especially enjoyed the originality of the dishes, which were all very tasty and beautifully presented. Loved the fact that the chef gives vegetables a prominent role in all of the dishes.

The chef himself came to our table to explain the menu and proposed us a lovely Chardonnay to go with our meal. He also brought us a very special glass of wine (Palo Cortado Tradición) to drink with the artichoke. A lovely experience.

Highly recommended.

Truthfully - one of the best meals of my life. Chef Fernando spoke to me about the flavors of Valencia he wanted to introduce me to and cooked a stunning meal. Unique, diverse, surprising - absolutely incredible. Cannot recommend highly enough!

A place to remember, in the corner of a very small square in the old Valencia.
A comfortable seating on a large table, in a quiet, simple environment. Simple and discreet service as well. Nothing extravagant here but all good.
And it’s absolutely fine because we’ve been completely blown away by what we had to experience on our plates. (With a great organic red wine).
When a young Chef makes you realize what the local cuisine from Valencia can be, with the twists and passion he brought into his dishes.
You’ll find a simple visual looking meal, but then your culinary trip starts. For us, it has been. Sensational.

A place to remember. Thank you.

Truly amazing meal from start to finish. The chef spent time explaining each dish and the origin of each ingredient. You could tell he is very passionate about the food he puts on your plate. We had the chefs tasting menu.

Hidden treasure!!
This small restaurant is totally underrated! The chef worked in several famous restaurants all over the world before he decided to open up his own restaurant. What he creates is art! The menu is only in Spanish but trust the chef who will personally recommend and take your order. Great service from the friendly stuff included. You can expect typical Spanish dishes from the area with a very special twist! Every single incrediant you can taste and got something special to it. A taste explotion incluido! Go there! Try it!

Lovely relaxed restaurant, small and intimate with each dish introduced by the chef himself. The food was delightful and v seasonal, featuring fresh broad beans and artichoke with various fish dishes. Would recommend!

This is an amazing little get. Small, friendly place with excellent cooking. Dishes are timed well, service is relaxed. Wine choices are fantastic. Prices are reasonable. Food is fantastic, focusing on local fish. Some dishes (like consommé and white prawns) are exceptional - and will likely become staples. Flavours are bold, multiple techniques are used to prepare food, and it all works really well. Flavours of fish are well balanced. With tiny adjustments (like a bit extra flavour extracted from a single cucumber slice) or slight tweak on sauces can make this place exceptional.
If in Valencia - make sure you visit this place. It’s fantastic, friendly and delicious. We were in a group of 5 and service (despite just 2 people) was immaculate, all dishes served on time, despite having to adjust the service to cater for dietary needs. Superb!

Absolutely magical. We stumbled upon this place for lunch and had a meal with the restaurant and staff all to ourselves. The service was top notch, with easy and friendly approach. The food… Oh my God, the food!! Very local/regional touch and just so delicious. In addition, great local wines! Cannot recommend this enough ❤

My family enjoyed an excellent birthday dinner here. Our two young teen children ordered individual dishes from the menu, and enthusiastically enjoyed every bite of what they considered the best meals of their lives. My husband and I requested the 8 course meal and savored each plate.
The servers and chef were very kind, professional, and so gracious to speak English with us Americans much, much more fluently than we speak Spanish.
Chef Fernando personally presented nearly every course to us, explaining each dish. He humbly ensured we were satisfied as the night went on.
As is very common throughout Europe, this is not a restaurant where you rush through your meal in an hour. Rather, it is a relaxed, personalized experience where each dish is specially prepared and presented with care. A diner choosing this restaurant is encouraged to patiently take pleasure in every delightful bite.
Thank you so much for welcoming us into the comfort of your delicious restaurant.

Delicious fish dishes, fantastic ingredients cooked with care, and marvelous wine recommendations. Truly a culinary highlight of my short trip. The only improvement I would like to see is the decor (to make it more upmarket, to match the food) - but this should not detract from the food, which is excellent.

Table for 1, c. 21:30 on a regular Tuesday night (not the special monthly Tuesday tasting menu).

The place is well located in the old town, off a lovely little square.

The menu was in English and Spanish, via a QR. The servers were attentive, happy to entertain my desire to try to communicate in Spanish and then follow up to confirm things in English, and recommended two excellent wines. They also cleaned the whole fish main for me and were happy to package up anything I didn't finish (although this turned out not to be necessary). Fernando, the chef, comes out to welcome you and say goodbye, and seemed to really care. His self-confessed speciality is seafood, so I went for that.

The food was delicious. I had the mercat menu, which was: bread and oil (absolutely amazing); 4 seafood starters including prawns, tuna and something with a salmoriglio sauce (outrageously tasty); a whole baked fish (the lightest, softest, tastiest fish I've ever had); and a multi-chocolate dessert.

If I could give somewhere between 4 and 5 stars I would: the atmosphere was almost non-existent when the place was as quiet as it was (3 other tables); the decor could do with modernising - it was comfortable, but it isn't cool; and, just as I was relaxing with my dessert and delicious glass of local red wine, the music changed from ambient acoustic versions of popular songs to one of the staff's Katy Perry album, which killed my vibe somewhat.

That being said, it's 5 stars and I definitely recommend the place; predominantly because it represents absolutely excellent value for money. It was €60 for 5 Michelin-guide courses, beautiful bread and oil, and 2 glasses of delicious wine. This is bonkers compared to London.
