Outstanding in every way! This hotel has location, location, location! It’s right on the beach! Large rooms with excellent air conditioning. Varied choice of food that fits every taste. So happy we decided to stay longer!

We had a wonderful experience at Roca Esmeralda Wellness & Spa Calpe.
Although the hotel room and furnitures looks a bit old, the rooms are clean and spotless, with attention to detail that made us feel right at home.
The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, always ready to assist with a smile. The buffet offered a nice selection of food that catered to everyone in my family.

The hotel’s proximity to the seaside is a big plus, allowing for easy access to the beach. Special thanks to Javi, Bilal etc, the helpful bartenders, and Dany, the energetic animator, who made our stay even more enjoyable. Their warmth and friendliness really stood out and added that extra touch to our vacation.
Roca Esmeralda Wellness & Spa Calpe is definitely a place we recommend for a family getaway.

Best hotel, food and experience. The services 10 stars, Chef Maria was very friendly, always salutes and ask how we are when eating, cooked delicious food;also Joshua, on restaurant reception, was kind and polite. I will definitely recommend the hotel, clean room and the best room view. Thank you.

We made a very nice experience at the spa. Everything was nice and clean the towels smells so good. And the massage with Gema was a good and resourcing experience. We can recommend it to everyone

Really helpful with special dietary requirements-just mention it as you enter the dining room. Lovely staff and rooms. Pool and gym free but have to pay for sauna, etc. Fantastic location seconds from the sandy beach.

A short 5 day break here was unbeatable value. More ‘stars’ should be available in respect of the location as it is simply superb!

I needed somewhere to recouperate from serious illness during the winter. I'm so glad I chose the Esmeralda, because this hotel and its staff were definately medicinal. It had all the advantages and facilities of a large hotel, plus the friendliness and care of a small family-run hotel.

Lots of fresh local fish in the buffet and several regional recipes to try, including Spanish desserts. Bedroom had a handy fridge-freezer, a big balcony with table and chairs, and the bed was very comfortable. The swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) jacuzzi, saunas and massage facilities were also very clean, there was full wheelchair access in and around the hotel (which was located right on the beach) and the elevators were large enough to easily fit a mobility scooter. And the wifi was strong and reliable everywhere I accessed it, even out on my balcony. There was A/C but I didn't use it.

All the staff at Esmeralda were good to me. I was lucky enough to have Maria José as my housekeeping angel on floor 6, who gave me confidence every day in my efforts to learn Spanish, and who always made me smile.

There was a really interesting array of international guests of all ages while I was there. I met two Belgian cycling teams, a Yorkshire choir, a Spanish choir, Czech mountaineers, French ornithologists, a Dutch family, a Scottish family, lots of people from Madrid and some weekend shoppers from Valencia.

I felt so comfortable here that I decided to cancel my next hotel. I was able to get a tricky extension to my stay here thanks to the efforts of deputy manager Adrián, who also sorted out my luggage issues (there is no porter service at Esmeralda, so that too was greatly appreciated). This in particular demonstrated the kind of extra help and attention to detail that makes a person want to tell everyone to come to this hotel.

I had no problems with my stay over Christmas here. The staff, food and rooms were absolutely spot on. Emanuel our bar steward was outstanding. I certainly put him through the paces with some amazing cocktail. The lad always has a smile on his face and is always very polite, a credit to your hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Thanks for a warming holiday. I really like the hotel, it is a very beautiful place near the sea, lots of shops. The rooms are clean and useful. But the most thanks are to Emanuel, Luis, William, Bilal, Carmen and Marina, they also made the best cocktails and coffee. All the staff are friendly and supportive every time. The food is healthy. Not super special but good, lots of salads and fish. I think all people choose something.

Been to the Esmerelda twice now on holiday as a family we love the hotel staff and facilitys here, very freindly staff and entertainment staff massive shout out to Irena Danj Sota for the fun games and exersize by the pool every day thank you for a great holiday

Had an amazing massage from Gema, great service and fantastic value for money for the quality of the massage from Gema. I would highly recommend and I will be returning!

Love this place staff are awesome kept us amd the kids entertained on days around the pool and might time with shows that involve the kids too great team of people x

We had a vacation there with our two children in July 2023.
Room service is wonderful. Food is amazing. We would love to recommend a particular person named Maria, who is the best assistant in restaurant with children, always makes the best service for them. Children just love her. Highly Recommended. Perfect Location for your perfect holiday.
The only week point was Disco for children. It can be better.

The Hotel is next to the beach, (1-3 Minute walk).
Price performance ratio very good.
We have been in this Hotel twice, and all was very good.

Rooms were a little dated and in need of some refurbishment. But generally ok. Public areas were excellent. Restaurant and food were really nice. ( for my taste of course ). Staff were both friendly and efficient. I would not hesitate in returning. Five stars.

Lovely hotel on the beach. Great central localtion. Clean, good room sizes with heated pool. Will definitely come again.

We traveled during Easter holiday. The weather was not very hot but the hotel indoor pool enabled us to swim! The location is perfect, on the beach and next to two big supermarkets. The beach is lovely and clean. Not many things to do around there but this is probably due to low season period (our daughter was going to bed early anyways :) ) The food was good, we could always find something to eat... a bit repetitive though. Overall we had a pleasent stay!

Great location, indoor and outdoor pool + other facilities. We had a great stay with family, we did not feel like we wanted to leave the hotel at all. But I do recommend walking around. 5 minutes from the supermarket, next to the beach, and the main benefit Is the restaurant with a great choice of delicious food and helpful staff!!!
