Bar Ángel

Busy pintxo bar on a bustling walking street full of tapas and pintxo bars. Their specialty is mushroom pintxo. We could have eaten many more but wanted to sample others on the street.

Delicious mushrooms on a stick on top of a piece of bread, on a shower of garlic and olive oil sauce... Just enjoy and choose which way you are going to eat them.. up to bottom or bottom/up!?

They are specialised in the Mushroom tapa and it's so tasty. Very crowded, in Laurel Street, they continuously sell this unique pinchos and you usually have them in the streets with a drink.

Amazing how much flavor one mushroom pincho can have. Its pretty crowded but for good reason! They accommodated our wish to have a vegetarian pincho without shrimp :) a must try!

Simple done to perfection. Garlic mushrooms. Great atmosphere. Even if there is no room, there's room... Move into a tiny space and get stuck in!

If you like mushrooms this little place is a MUST try! They make the mushrooms fresh to order right in front of you, and believe you me, they are delicious! 1.50 each. Staff behind the bar taking orders were very friendly and even gave us two drinks without charging (very sweet and unexpected).

A veritable institution in La Rioja. Simple and delicious. If it's super busy and you don't trust your Spanish, just ask for 'uno plato con una caña (or una copa de crianza for red wine)' and they'll take care of you. Por favor means 'please'...use it!

A must if you visit Calle Laurel during your camino. Mushrooms, garlic and a little shrimp to crown it all off!

I don't understand the negative reviews. Was just there a few hours ago. The best mushrooms I've ever had. So simple, yet so delicious. If you like mushrooms and you are in the area you must try this place!

Emblematic bar since 1960 with its famous pincho 3 button mushrooms & tiny shrimp mounted on sliced bread baguette style. Simple & natural with pinch of salt & drizzle of olive oil. Always full but worth the wait.
