This is not the gate built by the Romans but a gate built in the 16th century in honor of King Philip II.
From here cross the Guadalquivir river and overlook the old city.
It is highly recommended to come here at night, the views from the bridge and on the other side of the river are amazing.

'Bridge Gate'. Walking away from the beautiful Roman Bridge 'Puente Romano', this used to the entrance to the city. Dates back to the reign of Julius Caesar (44 BC), later a Moorish Gate and then restored circa 720 AD. 3 further changes occured to what it is to date.

The place is very nice, but very hot in summer and too much people

Very impressive bridge! Go there at night to see the nice illumination.

Beautiful place but DO NOT drive into the town and it you do be super careful not to go into areas you are not supposed to. The streets are tricky and there are many narrow streets were you car barely fits. We had a nightmare of a drive driving through these streets. We wished someone would have warned us. It is well worth the stop if you are near as the place is gorgeous.

Almost all the attractions here in Cordoba are close. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you wait for the best hours to walk (between 5 and 10pm) cuz hot waves. Stay hydrated!! Use hats to get to this places cuz there's no shadows while you're there
