Veterinary Center Comillas

I cannot recommend the Veterinary Center Comillas highly enough. Our English Border Collie, really hates going to the vets! It has taken me sometimes well over an hour to drag him in. At Comillas he went in as good as gold, not over keen on being weighed for his tablets, but stood briefly on the weighing pad. To our surprise took a treat from the vet; he has never done this before and was all in all a great experience for us all. Thank you.

Used for UK Animal Certificate returning to UK. Fantastic very efficient service. No fuss...just got on with it. Reasonable price. Definitely use whenever you need this service. Vet is great and speaks great English.

Brilliant vet. Perfect if you are catching the Santander ferry back to the UK. He was very good with our dog, who is usually nervous at the vets, and he speaks perfect English too. Easy parking outside for motorhomes etc. Highly recommended

Booked an appointment for our little rescue terrier Sammy. Al took care of all the passport details for our return to the UK. Very efficient and friendly vet. Highly recommended for anyone on holiday. It's obvious he cares about the animals he treats.
There's parking right outside the clinic also 👍

I recommend Alvaro's vetinary practice, particularly if, like me, you're on holiday in the region. Alvaro was so kind when my dog was ill on holiday, he thoroughly checked Molly out, coming to the clinic even though it was out of hours, he came specially. Great vet, friendly, kind and speaks English.

Dropped in to make an appointment. He had a gap between appointments so fitted us in for the deworming before returning to the UK. The Vet spoke good English and was efficient, I got the impression that he does a lot of these and was very familiar with the process. Don’t be afraid to phone to book an appointment if your Spanish is a bit limited! Would use again.

Definitely 5 star all the way. My dog is terrified of going to the vets but Al with his kind and caring manor put Max at ease. Al was so helpful, giving lots of advice for our next trip. We will be returning in October for his rabbies booster and titre test as we are travelling to Morocco and then back for tapeworm before we come back to England. I really cant rate this vet highly enough. Just to add, very reasonable prices. Thank you Al x

I turned up on spec with my dog Eric who had a very sore paw ( abscess) after arriving from the UK the day before with no sign of any paw issues. Al, the vet saw us immediately and instantly bonded with Eric (and me), making us feel safe and in good hands. He recognised the problem immediately and treated Eric with care. After giving Eric injections of antibiotics & painkillers, within an hour Eric’s abscess had burst and Eric was walking and running around! We continued with the antibiotic and painkillers for 3 days, I sent Al a picture of Eric’s paw and got a response immediately. I was delighted with Al’s treatment of Eric and would have no hesitation in recommending his vet practice .

Highly recommend for tapeworm treatment for return back to UK- the vet was very helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English- the price for the service was very reasonable and far cheaper than we have paid in France- easily booked via email and parking directly outside- our dog is usually very nervous in a vets but he left with a waggy tail as the vet made him very happy and comfortable!! Will definitely use again

Álvaro is a competent, dedicated and very great vet who took very good care of our dog Bounty. We come from Germany and the communication in English worked perfectly. It's a pity that we don't have such a vet in Germany! Many greetings! Saskia, Max and Bounty!

Dropped by to make an appointment for our dog’s tapeworm treatment for returning to the UK. The vet took us straight away, had a lovely nature with our dog and his English was much better than my Spanish. Excellent service would highly recommend for fellow travellers getting the boat from Santander to UK.

I came to this vet for a tapeworm treatment for my dog ahead of going back to the UK and he was incredibly helpful and friendly, and spoke excellent English which was much appreciated. I called ahead, but was able to come in on a Monday morning without an appointment. He was very kind to my dog who is extremely nervous around vets, and gave me some good advice about another issue. I can't recommend him enough, and will definitely use again next time I'm in the area. Great for anyone getting the ferry from Santander. Gracias!
