If you're looking for something authentic where locals frequently socialize just go there, you won't regret.

Disclaimer: I love patatas in general, so my review can seem a bit biased for those who don’t love them, but those who do, it’s nr 1 place to go!

I visited this place 6-7 times before I wrote this review, to be sure that It’s not my first impression which is typically better than the actual deal. Additionally I visited around 4-5 other bars where they also offer patatas, just to have a comparison point.

So in conclusion this is for sure the best place to go for a glass of beer/wine + some patatas. Patatas are homemade and really good, the quantity is good also. But it’s not about the patatas only, it’s the combination of good atmosphere, good patatas and beer and authentic people working there. The main barman there (dark haired man) is one of coolest people I have met in food industry, he is genuine, authentic and really welcoming, as is all the other staff. You really do feel that this is your “home bar” (a term that I did not understand before) where you are welcomed when you enter. Bravo for excellent service and great experience!

Anyway if you are in Leon and want to have a beer with tapas (I suggest patatas) in authentic chill environment then try not to miss this place.

Great food. Typical from Léon. Not for everyone but great quality. Crew a little rude, but overall worth a stop for some tapas. The callos were so good!

Great, simple, local tapas bar tucked away in a little backstreet just 2 minutes from the Basilica. Generous portions of delicious food made this one of the favourite experiences on our trip.

Fabulous place, service is attentive, food is excellent. Had the mussels & croquettes.

Epicurean whitelister .....so I'm busy in León; and the stars are well earned in these reviews;; the Ribera is renowned for its potatoes/chips/fries(spuds in layman's terms) and a local favourite. Well worth the visit if you find the space to swing a cat. Whatever the potato type is, or be it the oil, they are well tasty!!! If potatoes don't float your boat; try the mussels.

A real Spanish bar in a real Spanish city with real Spanish Tapas. Cheap, filling, fast, friendly and I will definitely be visiting again. Get there early, it fills up fast!

De los bares de León que si tienen buena tapa. Eliges entre asadura. Champiñones. Patatas, oreja y sangre. No se muy bien como funciona pero una de las veces me pusieron patatas con los champiñones también. Tardan pero están pendiente a lo que pueden y son amables. La media ración la tiene a tres cuartos de precio de la entera. Los cortos de cerveza a 1.5

Todo muy bien . Muy atentos y amables. Las raciones muy buenas. Tuvimos tigres,croquetas,mejillones y morcilla. Con la crrveza ponen tapa. Muy recomendable, todo casero

Bar que cuenta con tapas espectaculares,y muy buen servicio,un bar de los de toda la vida,donde reina el buen servicio,el buen comer y la profesionalidad.La oreja y rabo un espectáculo, además tapias copiosas,y muy buena relación calidad/precio. Volveremos seguro. Está ubicado cerca de la zona del Barrio Romantico. Recomendable ir,todo un Clásico de León

Muy pequeño pero delicioso. La verdad que a los trabajadores habría que darles una medalla porque hacen malabares para atender a las mesas cuando está abarrotado y son súper amables.

¡Mi bar favorito de León! Buenísimas las albóndigas con patatas, muy caseras. Muy rica la oreja también. Es difícil conseguir mesa y hay que tener un poco de paciencia para pedir pero merece la pena. 1.5 corto, 2.5 Aquarius.

Un indispensable desde hace muchos años, las patatas espectaculares y las raciones igual. Muchas opciones sin gluten, la mayoría menos los fritos rebozados que no son las patatas
