Bar "Baron"

Great local bar with a special atmosphere.
A "cool" bar which is naturally cool without making any effort to pretend to be cool.
When we were there (for a week) it seemed to be 50/50 locals Vs tourists.
If you sit inside you will be exhausted looking at how hard Borja and the others work, so sometimes you need to be a little patient.
Tapas are tasty and very reasonably priced.

We tried roman artichokes, grilled peppers, ensaladilla de gambas, mazamirra, tomate de aliñado, smoked sardines and pickled anchovies. All od them wete delicious and the prices were more than fair. I especially recommend mazamorra and smoked sardines. Altough there was one waiter and the bar was full, the service was really fast.

This is great bar, with delicious tapas. The cold tomato soup, house pate and smoked sardines were real winners. Affordable, and not touristy at all!

I recently went to Córdoba for the second time and had to go back to Bar Baron. It’s tucked away in a little plaza and most of the seating is outdoors. They have very well-priced drinks and the tapas are amazing! Everything tastes fresh and made with love. If only they had more than one server to share the work. It’s a bit stressful to see one person trying to manage everything.

This is a great bar to enjoy the outside air and catch up with friends. The indoor space is fairly cramped but the outdoor area is spacious and lovely. Wait staff will serve you at the standing tables outside. Orange trees grow in the courtyard which adds a nice smell. You might unlikely stuck next to a smoker, but otherwise it will be a great experience. The tuna cake and wine selection is great.

Perfect little bar in a gorgeous hidden square near the cathedral, but not touristy. Great service, wonderful tapas from a small but varied menu, with some great fish dishes. Food is exceptional, great value and I would guess home made. Even the music is great. Loved it!

That's the place i liked the most in Cordoba. It's located on a small square, not the typical tourist place. The food and drinks were great, the atmosphere outside is really cool.

This tapas bar was Cordoba’s best discovery for us! We followed the waiter’s recommendations and we were very satisfied: the tapas were amazing, the cocktails cheap and the place was full of locals. The bar is located in a small and quiet square and there are tables outside.
You must try the typical mazamorra!

We love this small bar/cafe on the Plaza de Abades! The food is fantastic, the waiters are friendly, the locals are delightful, and the setting is exquisite.

Lovely little bar in a small plaza near the Mezquita, tapas are great and the staff work very hard. One thing I disagree with in other reviews is that it's a popular bar with tourists and locals so much so that it can be difficult to get a table.

Had a fantastic afternoon here.
Lovely staff and a nice atmosphere, the wine was also great.
Food wise we loved the Pate and my first ever Mazammora which was delicious.

Such a nice local bar. Tapas are delicious, pâté, bonito con pimientos... everything was so tasty.
The young man on service was very welcoming, professional and had a good old time Andalusian feeling.
There were locals and a couple of tourists when we came by. We found it by accident just walking by.
We'll repeat anytime if we are back in town.

Came in Winter and on Monday night. The Tapas was amazing. Everything was delicious. The bar was full if locals for a Monday night. Top Spot

I love this place with a relaxed atmosphere. We had great evenings here 2023, together with new friends. Love to come back.

Excellent local bar. A perfect place for tapas and local wines and beers.

Neighbourhood gem. Food is very good and staff are kind. Perfect for solo travellers - if there’s no space outside there’s a nice table next to the bar. The smoked sardines were really good.
