Gorgeous little restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. Staff were so friendly and the food was really tasty at such an affordable price. We went for lunch and had the paella, €7,50 each.

This is a super small restaurant bar in el Carmen. But don't let that fool you.. there is always a wait because the food is very tasty though super simple. They don't make it fancy.. just delicious.
The price is excellent for the area but most of all is the staff.. the women working are always delightful welcoming and make you feel like your home.
I highly recommend this spot though go early.. it's always full.

Stumbled upon this place and I would recommend! Service was good, food was good and the ambience was nice! I especially recommend their vermouth (casero!) and cheesecake (also homemade and super delicious!). I also recommend their pastel de berenjena (eggplant lasagna).

Great traditional Spanish food at very reasonable prices. It can take a little while for a table but it's well worth the wait - highly recommended! Everything I tried was lovely but the calamares were amazing!

Always smells good when walking past and finally got the chance to sit at the window terraza with my dogs for comida. Looks very "hole in the wall" but don't let appearances fool you. Very good food and prompt, friendly service. I had the montadito solomillo, and I couldn't believe how much meat I got. The brownie was huge too, but it cost more than the sandwich or tapas. Good local vermouth and a great coffee. What more could you ask for?

Bij toeval gevonden, twee keer geweest. Heerlijke tapas, aardige bediening en een echte lokale ervaring.

Lugar con ambiente relajado y acogedor. El trato del camarero fue muy agradable y cercano. El arroz al horno estaba genial. Carta bastante amplia de tapas con buen sabor. Muy bien situado en el barrio del Carmen.

Piccolo ma accogliente locale ben arredato. Serve principalmente tapas. Ne abbiamo provate diverse ed erano tutte veramente molto buone. Abbiamo speso 23 euro a persona per 2 calici giganti di tinto de Verano e 6 tapas anche a base di pesce, di formaggi di capra e tanto altro. Vengono usati ingredienti freschi e si sente! Il personale è molto cortese. Consigliatissimo.

Comida casera muy rica a buen precio, el ambiente tranquilo y agradable en el centro de Valencia. Me gusta encontrar lugares así cuando salgo de casa.

Esencia "Carmen" sin duda, local con mucho encanto, es pequeño y eso lo convierte en acogedor, el mejor arroz vegano que he comido en mi vida, platos hechos con mimo y un servicio encantado de atenderte, amplia variedad de cervezas y una cocina lista para satisfacer tus delicias culinarias, le dejo 5 estrellas y espero que los estrellas Michelín, dejen caer alguna, muy bien ubicado en el barrio y recomiendo el menú del día, está bien seleccionado ¡Bon apetit!

Una piacevolissima sorpresa, trovata per caso perché i locali del mercato Mossen Sorell erano strapieni. E abbiamo mangiato benissimo, piatto del giorno (riso al forno) e tapas deliziose, in particolare quelle vegetariane (crujiente de porro y queso de cabra e pastel de berenjens). Servizio abbastanza veloce e prezzi ragionevoli. Siamo stati molto soddisfatti.

Fuimos a cenar un jueves y la camarera fue super amable, la comida casera y muy sabrosa y el sitio pequeño y muy acogedor. Nos encantó ¡Volveremos!
