Great Taverna in the old town. Very welcoming with a great selection of drinks and friendly service! Very gay-friendly and the cheesecake is amazing! Very moreish! Really well-made gin and tonics and good value for money.

My favourite bar in Bilbao, I've been coming here for more than a decade and little has changed (if it ain't broke...).

One of a small cluster of leftie/pro-independence bars, though their politics is fairly subtle. Bizitza is a queer bar, with rainbow and feminist flags behind the bar, but is welcoming to everyone.

A great place to sit outside during the day and people watch and a great spot to spend a good chunk of a night out too.

Standard drinks you'll get in any bar in Bilbao but with a series of other nice bars in this little corner of the old town this is one of Bilbao's highlights.

Great atmosphere at night as the street in front fills with people. The bar lady was very nice. Good drinks and reasonable prices.
