Hotel Costa Brava

Second time staying at the hotel out of season, lovely staff, great location right on the beach, and perfect for doing the coastal walks and catching the bus back.
First time did room only, second time with breakfast, which did away with the need to eat lunch!
My only negative comment is that the photos of the rooms do not match up with what you get, first visit booked sea view, but from actually being in the room you got the beach and town, you had to be on the balcony to see the sea.
Second visit booked frontal sea view room, photo showed an arm chair and small settee in the room, but only got 1 arm chair and a dining chair, the views were fantastic though.
The great thing about Platja d’Aro is the town shops and restaurant's are open all year round.. For us visiting out of season it’s a great 2 night getaway, 3 hours drive for us with a EV car charger at the hotel 👍.

We were very happy on the 3rd floor as the sea was right beneath the hotel. Wonderful to watch the horizon right from our bed. The concierge was really regal and yet homely being Christmas time. The staff were kind and helpful.

Hotel Costa Brava has everything going for it. Excellent staff, perfect location, and a charming building from the 1920’s. I loved everything about my stay there.

Very nice place with the great lobby and sea view. Perfect place for stay business or private. Most important they accept dogs very friendly and helpful.

We had such an amazing experience in Hotel Costa Brava! We stayed in a renovated Superior room with sea view, and we just couldn't have been happier. The furnishings and fixtures are of high quality, the room is cozy, and the view just wonderful. It was so relaxing to sleep and wake up to the sound of waves. We also liked that there is convenient and plentiful parking, there are some excellent restaurants nearby, and a very beautiful part of Cami de Ronda hiking pathway starting right next to the hotel. The staff, we interacted with Susana and Monica, were very friendly, kind and professional. We would absolutely love to come back given an opportunity!

Ate in restaurant inside hotel. SUPERB. Well worth a visit.
The pate with smoked eel, fabulous. Intense flavour.
Calamari, soft and tasty.
Fresh, excellent bread.
I had fish of the day, which was monkfish. Perfectly cooked with small assortment of fresh veg baby potatoes, asparagus,carrots. Perfectly seasoned.
The chateaubriand, again cooked to perfection, very tender, excellent flavour, served with small chunky roast potatoes. Seperate sauces unnecessary but also tasty.
Octopus served with veg, again fresh tasty and Perfectly cooked.
Leg of young goat with roast potatoes. Again Perfectly cooked, very flavoursome. Delicious.
Desserts were good but not as spectacular as starters. All good but needs something spectacular.
I'd highly recommend this restaurant, great friendly staff, delicious food reasonable ambience.

So glad this hotel was open in December. Fantastic views and access to beaches and coastal path. Well-maintained, free parking, good food and helpful receptionists. Could not have asked for more.

Perfect place to spend a week on Costa Brava. Hotel is located on the edge of the long beach, literally on the mount rock directly in sea. it has beautyful tarraces from dinning area and main lounge with tables placed directly on the seafront. It has its own stairs to the beach on both sides. Both are public but are shattered by rocks where you can find nice private spots for whole day. The point you must be aware of, is that hotel lower levels are directrly connected with public pathway connectig both beaches. So ALWAYS ask for higher level rooms if you want to have beachfront view. If you are proposed with rooms starting with 0 (018, 022, 023) it will mean your balcony or window will be on the path level, ending up with constant interuptions from tourists passing by. Breakfast is superb, you can also grab a Cava or white wine to your corssaint if you like, ending up with the coffie overseeing the clam sea. Car park is avaliable in 3 locations, either infront of hotel (if you are lucky, 6 slots), or hotels locked car parks 50m away on same street accessible by code.Bed materace is perfect, A/C in room but you can sleep with window open to hear clam sound of the sea.

Its a 3 star hotel but felt like a solid 4 star. The inside is like a museum with many paintings and scultures in the lobby and hallways. The hotel is sitting right on the cliff from the water. The playa d'Aro beach is directly accessible from the site by walking down the cliff from the hotel .
The view of the sea was spectacular from our room. Falling asleep to the soft sound of waves clashing on the rocks was an unforgettable experience. The bathroom would past the "white glove" test. The bathtub was like a jacuzzi with massage controls. Wifi was 6/10, cable tv included.The hotel was so calm it felt like we were alone. The staff is very warm and always greeted us with a smile and a "Bon día!"

The breakfast buffet is included, it is fresh with fruits, croissants, eggs and typical spanish breakfast ( toast, proscuitto, serrano ham, olives...)

They have a restaurant but it closes around 10pm. For late night cravings, we walk 5 minutes from the hotel to find a delicious kebab restaurant and a resto-bar that were still open

Fantastic hotel. Wonderful service. We had a room with a jacuzzi. Been several times before and will be back. Can't fault it. Thank you.

I can’t describe how being Gem this place is 😍 I hate that nobody knows the place when I tried to reach there and that’s what makes it a Solitude beach for those who love to detox their mind and the hotel is sooooo beautiful classic and very nice staff, I’d surly come back soon in the summer ❤

A hidden gem. One of the best hotels in Costa Brava, and in Platja d'Aro. Diwn side, no pool but you have beach choices on either side of the hotel which sits right on the sea.

Amazing what aobely elegant place. Just whatever you do don't stay at the hotel Bell Repos down the road it's awful and noisy and a hole. I literally payed for this costa brava hotel for the same nights because they wouldn't refund me and bell Repos was such a hole

We only ate at their restaurant, but we had an amazing experience! High quality food at worth price in a relaxing atmosphere with the loviest serving staff, totally recommended

Really happy with this hotel, staff is really good and the views are incredible from the restaurant and certainly from our hotel room.
