INDIA OLD RESTAURANTE CAFETERÍA New York Berria

While out in Bilbao we were looking for something to change it up from tapas and pintxos.
We stumbled upon India Old Restaurant and were pleasantly surprised with how incredibly delicious our food was! The butter chicken was mind blowing and the madras was perfectly spicy.
We had a wonderful experience eating here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty Indian restaurant in Bilbao.

Plenty of veggie options with a great set lunch, or off the menu. Food was fresh & flavorful.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! We are avid Indian food eaters and we almost didn’t walk in as it didn’t necessarily look convincing.

Being from the UK I have high expectations and this was as good as the curry at home. Recommend the Madras!

Randomly visited the place and have to say what a pleasant surprise ! As an Indian, we are usually very disappointed with the quality of Indian food and taste in most restaurant in Spain. But the India old restaurant was one of the closest to the taste buds we have for the food. The place is large with a very nice sitting arrangement with an excellent service. The prices for the food and quality is very good with regards to its competitors.

Our first visit led to multiple visits during the stay and would definitely recommend the Lamb biryani, Chicken tikka masala and the nans. You can also request spice content to be moderated based on your taste buds. The only hotel staff (missed asking his name) was excellent with his recommendations.

The place seems to have started 4 months back and was rather empty. Hope the place is soon acknowledged for its fine indian taste and authenticity !

Came for breakfast and the menu had an extensive list of breakfast deals from the typical standard desayuno up to the all out American breakfast. Price was great, quality of food was high and the service was even higher. When we finished eating the very kind waitress brought over some free pastries for us to try.

We went to go get some cheesecake... And it was delicious! The venue is gorgeous and the staff were so nice- great vibes. I recommend this restaurant and would love to go back sometime.

First class breakfast made with high quality ingredients. Everything was fresh, reasonably cheap and fresh. The local itself looks great, it's a pleasure to be there.

Amazing staff, we only speak English and the gal at the front took the time to give us her best explanation of the menu despite the language barrier, A+ very refreshing change of pace from the typical careless European attitude, would highly recommend for anyone visiting, or perhaps local.
