Gailurretan

After a visit in Bilbao i randomly ended up in this hotel.
On the top of a mountain in the most beautiful valley of Basque Country.
The host is lovely, the location is amazing and the food is prepared with love and the beds sleep very well!

This place is fantastic. Quiet little village accomodatikn well off the beaten trail. Stayed two nights at the end of a long bike roadtrip. Maika (the owner) made us feel like kings. She is a superb chef and the food was perfect. It feels like a traditional Spanish house and was comfortable. Occasionally barking dogs remind you it is a truly rural area but Maika's dogs are super friendly.
Very reasonably priced and absolutely recommended!!

Great place to seek for some tranquility. It’s very peaceful and relaxing to stay there. Maika, the host was an angel, very nice, excellent cook. I would recommend if you are in the area

We had dinner here and absolutely loved the place, the view and scenery are amazing and the food is to die for - and very affordable!! The host is very kind and speaks English. Next time we will book a few nights and stay here, looking forward to that! Thank you for a wonderful last evening of our holidays in Karrantza!

Beautiful place, stunning surroundings, but the best was Maika, such a lovely person, went out of her way when we had car trouble. Would definitely recommend, hopefully we will return on another visit to Spain.

Despite unkind weather on our first day we had a very enjoyable stay at Gailurretan. It's certainly has character as does the host Maika who made us feel very welcome. The location and settings are perfect for those who want to recharge their batteries by having some time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The only distraction could be the three friendliest guard dogs I've come across.

A beautiful place in Karranza Valley where we enjoyed an unforgettable birthday, brilliant catering! To top it up we enjoyed a splash in a great swimming pool!
Maika, the owner, is the soul of Gailurretan, she personally decorated the bedrooms that are so personal that takes you to a different cultures.
All of us had an unbeatable time!
I can't wait to go back!

Very beautiful place, the rooms are cosy and spacious. The main "living room" also very nicely decorated and free wifi is available. There is a very beautiful yard with a swimming pool (that I didn't get to try as it is only open in the summer). The restaurant has very nice food (but be careful, the restaurant only works in weekends) and the breakfast choices are also very good. Most importantly the owner Maika and all the people working at Gailurretan are warm, open, and welcoming. I will definitely go again and highly recommend it.

Experiencia inolvidable; no se puede hacer otra acción más que recomendarla a toda persona que busque un lugar tranquilo y rodeado de naturaleza para descansar.

Situada en un entorno idílico, en pleno valle de Carranza, rodeada de árboles y montañas.
La oferta gastronómica es muy buena. Se preparan platos tradicionales de la zona con productos kilómetro 0 y de la mejor calidad. El comedor exterior junto a la piscina... ¡impresionante!

Siempre volvemos!!

Si buscas calma, paisajes espectaculares y un trato acogedor e inmejorable, tienes que visitar esta casa rural. Hemos estado este puente de diciembre y nos ha encantado todo, la acogida de Maica y Raquel, su camida casera, el calor de su chimenea, el entorno... Sin duda, un precioso lugar para repetir. Muchas gracias superanfitrionas!

El sitio es, espectacular unido a unas muy buenas instalaciones, respetando todo detalle.
La gente q nos atiende,mas un trato familiar, junto con una cocina tradicional hace de la casa un sitio más q recomendable.
Se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo.
La nota q le pondría un 20 sobre 10.

Les 2 personnes qui gèrent l'établissement sont adorables. Nous avons passés une nuit parfaite.
Le repas est très bien. Et la vue houaa!.
Situé en pleine montagne , ne cherchez pas à aller faire du shopping, la piscine et la terrasse vous permettrons de faire passer le temps et de vous ressourcer.

Repas succulent au coeur d´un paysage magnifique. Nous nous sommes régalés, notre hote et ses deux chiens absolument adorables et accueillants. Nous reviendrons pour le gite et la piscine qui donnent envie.

Alberto y Sandra. Una maravilla para los sentidos. Ese valle de cuento!!!. Estupenda casa rural. Con mimo y detalle, Mayka y Raquel han construido un pequeño paraíso montañés. Una experiencia inolvidable. Restauración cuidada y suculenta. Todo protegido por Pintxo y Brownie. Os guardamos en un rincón especial de nuestra memoria viajera.

Un lugar para estar tranquilo en medio de la naturaleza. Maika y Raquel son muy amables y la comida es deliciosa. Muy recomendable. También nos encantó la compañía de pincho y brownie, los perritos del lugar. Fuimos con nuestro perro y todo genial!

Unas vacaciones en familia en un entorno precioso, Gailurretan tiene todas las comodidades para descansar, ofrece una carta muy completa con comida de calidad, que viene muy bien después de hacer senderismo por el Valle de Carranza, nos hemos sentido como en casa, Maika y Raquel son de trato excelente, lo recomendaría siempre.

Mejor imposible, un remanso de paz, de buena comida y de buena atención. La casa es preciosa, está en un sitio genial y la dueña, Maika, más maja no puede ser. Recomendable al 100%.

Hemos estado 4 días y nos hemos ido con pena por dejar un sitio tan bonito A agradecer el trato a Raquel y Maika por ser tan buenas anfitrionas Esperamos volver con más tiempo y seguir disfrutando de la compañía paisaje y buenisima comida

Con motivo de una reunión familiar en septiembre nos juntamos 21 personas para comer y disfrutamos de los menús de 23€ y 29€.
El trato, la atención y la comida fueron excelentes. Las raciones son buenas, el pan riquísimo y estuvieron siempre atentos a nuestras necesidades.
Pudimos comer relajadamente y sin prisa. Y nos prepararon para llevar los platos del menú que no comimos allí y que estaban incluidos.
