Bodega F-Schatz

Yesterday we visited the Bodega Schatz, having been recommended by a friend to do so, and we are so glad we did! If you want to understand the history of wine in the Ronda area, you really should start at Schatz. Our guide, Gemma, was absolutely excellent, so knowledgeable, clearly passionate and held our attention with her animated delivery.

Great little winery near Ronda! We were guided by Gemma and she was super kind to have the tour in English and Spanish just for us. We also had the chance to meet the winemaker himself, Mr. Shatz and get to know his inspiring history. The wine that we bought also didn't disappoint - our favourite is the Pinot Noir.

Excellent tour and tasting. We were treated to 5 of some of the best wines I’ve ever tasted (and a bonus taste of our favorite). Very nice selection of light snacks. Hema led a lively tour of their beautiful grounds. We only wish the tasting could have been done outside.

Do not leave Ronda without visiting Schatz organic wines. A fantastic story told by enthusiastic wineryguide Gema. A true memory of a beautiful spot and great wines.

Gema was an incredible guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and personable m we enjoyed the tour so very much and learned a lot. The ample tastings and food pairings were a bonus. Highly recommend visiting F-Schatz vineyards.

Even from Los Angeles, Our tour of the winery taught me more than I had known. Gema (pronounced Hema) was our guide at the winery and introduced us to six glorious wines. The ride from Seville was beautiful too. I highly recommend visiting the winery when you go to Ronda!

Gema is charismatic and engaging which makes the experience great. Only thing better is the wine, especially the Lemberger!

Gemma was a really enthoustic guide. She tells the history of the wines tremendously interesting and funny. Apart from that, the wines were also very tasty. Definitely recommended!
I read in another review that the English was impossible to follow, but I completely disagree. Gemma was very clear and easy to follow:)
