Prada a Tope Madrid

Stopped by for a quick bite. Ordered the starters plate, with different meats and nice cheese. Decent prices for the location. 4 stars on food because the bread was on the hard side and one of the meats wasn't tasty enough in our opinion.

A must try the cured beef (cecina) a speciality from Leon, the Spanish omelet with tomato based sauce (tortilla guisada) not pictured but such a unique take from the traditional Spanish omelet, and the scrambled eggs with pork sausage with blood,onion and rice (revuelto de morcilla) they also have a house wine with such a unique taste. The atmosphere of the place feel like you are in a Spanish cabin outside of the city

Wow, wow, wow! Still at a loss for words. Absolutely exquisite Spanish restaurant with a very cozy atmosphere and great service. Very generous portions. My mum and I had the cured sheep’s cheese board, seasonal cold veggie soup and Russian salad, with a complimentary side of very nice fresh bread. To drink I had the vermout (Rosso), a sort of fortified Spanish wine. Full-bodied flavours all around. Highly recommend!

We walked past this Bar/Restaurant a number of times and then decided to try it. We are so glad we did, we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, character and food.

The bar/restaurant atmosphere is created by the mixture of locals, tourists and staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We kept coming back to the Prada a Tope as we enjoyed the atmosphere, food and the bonus was the food was reasonably priced.

Certainty worth a visit.

Food was good old fashioned Spanish food typical during the winter months. This means it was heavy, meant for being out in the cold. The menu had a bit of about anything you can think of within the Spanish cuisine. The wine suggested by the waiter, from their own cellars, was excellent and could be bought by the glass at an affordable price. The morcilla and the chestnut flan were really, really, good!
Be sure to reserve a table. We called in for an early lunch, same day reservation, and though packed, the person in charge was very nice and reserved us a table (warning us unfortunately it came with time restrictions)

What a fun restaurant! Great food and super service. Had to go back the next day, couldn't limit ourselves to just one meal. As others have noted, portions are generous and taste great.

Great restaurant with amazing menu and delicious meals! The sangria was delicious and so were the tuna & tomatoes entree, grilled squid & octopus, tuna and fried eggs with pork & potatoes. The pork is similar to chorizo so it may be a little too spicy for children. The “crema de limón” is yogurt based and not exactly what I expected, but it was good.

My wife and I stayed around the corner from this fantastic place 24/25 of April 2024 and had 2 of the best nights out we could have asked for.
Catalin and Mohamed reda were the most amazing barmen, always doing something to make our evening better, giving advice on meals and just being absolute stars!
The meals that came out of that tiny kitchen were amazing and set the bar very high for the rest of our trip around Spain.
I left 1 star off for the food, because there is always room for improvement.

Very reasonably priced mega pints of good wine. Excellent tapas bits with your drinks. Didn't order any extra because we didn't need to. Great vibes around the bar, very friendly staff.

The inside of this place resembles its staff, warm and inviting. Made reservations for an early dinner before seven pm. The bar was busy but the seating area was not. Staff took time to talk to us about what type of food experience we were looking for. Not what we wanted to eat, but what we wanted to experience. As the seating area continued to fill to capacity the staff still returned periodically to check on us. The food was all really good, prepared by experienced hands.

So this place originates in northern Spain and this is the Madrid location.
The service was outstanding. Just right and courteous.
The food was excellent. We ordered cecinas which is the beef version of jamón serrano. It was really good. We also had open face sandwiches with pork and morcilla 'blood sausage' and a pork empanada. Everything tasted great.
Their prices are mid range. Depends on how much you drink. Definitely recommend it.

The place is filled with locals having a beer or the restaurant’s own branded wine. The food is delicious and the staff was friendly, helpful, and didn’t seem interested in separating us from our Euros.

I would recommend this place to ANYONE coming to Madrid.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The roasted vegetables are so flavorful, and they make their own cherry liqueur, which is amazing. Everything here is delicious, and it is decorated in a rustic style, with solid wooden benches instead of chairs.

Our first address when we come to Madrid from Germany every month. A very nice service and this bread for us every time a highlight!!! 5/5 See you soon !!!

A fabulous restaurant with incredible dishes. I was completely full and the food was top quality. The service was brilliant too.

Great food! We had our final Rick Steves Tour group dinner here. Room was big enough to accommodate 25 of us plus others. Had great meal. Lots of different topas were delicious and wonderful wine was flowing. Staff was kind and attentive.
