Casa Rural Catifalarga Capileira

Catifarlaga was a stop on a larger trip across Spain designed to be a respiration in mountain. And it was everything we had hoped and more! From the stunning view at day and the clarity of the night sky to the proximity of various footpath to Capileira and above.
It was the perfect place for us to stop by and if staying longer would have been possible we'd done so!

Fantastic place for stay and have a little break from busy city. Staff were so very helpful and great service. Clean, spacious, delicious organic breakfast ( they even had soya milk), there was nice creek next to place we walked until town through there it was really really pleasant. We will go back again ✨🙏🤗

We had such a lovely weekend in this unique and beautiful country hotel in the wonderful Alpujarras. Our host, Kike, and his crew did everything to make us feel utterly welcome and to make our stay the most exceptional experience. The food served at the restaurant by chef Joaquin is just amazing and we even enjoyed an unexpected flamenco show during our dinner. I totally recommend this place for anyone looking for a special experience. The views are breathtaking!

There are lots of beautiful places to stay in Capileira and the surrounding area and many of them are less expensive, but Cortijo Catifalarga offers something very special. We have spent months in apartments in the area on previous trips, but wanted to experience a Cortijo holiday. It allowed us to enjoy a peaceful retreat even in the middle of a big holiday in Spain (day of the dead). The views from our secluded balcony were beautiful, and we were not in the room with the best views (we chose a bigger room with a smaller balcony). Enrique and Ana are perfect hosts - great service with no fuss, for us it’s perfect. Breakfast is lovely- always something different over our 8-day stay. We had some fantastic evening meals- steak/tuna with great starters- e.g. stuffed peppers, croquetas, amuse bouche of aubergine and toast, other nights we had the best chicken tagine ever- much better than the ones we have had in Granada. Coming from Valencia, Enrique knows how to cook rice. He made us a delicious rice with prawns and cuttlefish. Ana is a fantastic baker. As my dad was a baker, I’m really fussy, but all Ana’s baking and her jams are excellent. We will definitely return! Thank you Enrique and Ana.

Our family of four just returned from a beautiful stay at Catifalarge Inn for five days. It was just what we were looking for to see nature at its best. The lodging exceeded our expectations, and the mountainside surroundings were spectacular. We also enjoyed horseback riding through the mountainside at a nearby stable just minutes away. The swimming pool was also a delight to have. We ate all our meals there at the inn, for the chief gave us such a great variety of wonderful and delightful meals. We highly recommend the Inn if you are looking to experience the Sierra Nevada mountains at their best.

Fantastic stay, lovely warm hosts making you feel completely at ease and always attentive. Great location near Capileira. Rooms are a good size and great value for money. Even had a fabulous evening with local Flamenco group. Beautiful views and lovely locally sourced products for breakfast. Highly recommend.

Lovely place next to Capileira, in the heart of the Alpujarra. There are some rooms and a couple of apartments. There's also a common room, sometimes functioning as a bar, and a beautiful garden with a swimming pool.
Aurora received us, and was extremely helpful. We promised her we'd be back, and we will.

Very nice and quiet location, with central heating and all necessary appliances. Close to the Capileira village, where you can start lots of beautiful hikes.

Great escape

Estuvimos unos días con nuestros perritos y todo genial. La habitación bien equipada, todo muy tranquilo, el desayuno muy completo y casero y los dueños son estupendos. Es cierto que el acceso al parking es un poco complicado para un turismo normalito pero merece mucho la pena. Enrique y Ana son súper atentos y amables, no faltó nada. Sin duda volveremos 🫶🏽

Un sitio encantador. Pasamos un finde maravilloso en este cortijo la verdad. La atención de 10. Las habitaciones están bien y la cama es muy cómoda. El desyauno con unas vistas espectaculares. El sitio está localizado en las afueras de Capileria, pero muy cerca (se puede caminar a todos los sitios). Lo único que avisaría es la subida al cortijo, cuidado con el camino en coche pero por todo lo demás, genial!

El entorno del establecimiento es idílico, rodeado de montañas, vegetación y escuchando solo el sonido de los pájaros y el ganado local. Nos hospedamos en la habitación tierra y luna, con una terraza súper amplia con vistas increíbles. El desayuno incluido riquísimo, con mermeladas y bizcocho casero buenísimos, jamón y queso, huevos rotos, zumo y café. El propietario en todo momento fue súper atento, amable y accesible, recomendándonos una ruta que nos encantó y un restaurante buenísimo para cenar en el pueblo muy económico. En resumen una estancia de 10! Si estáis dudando entre diferentes alojamientos, este lo recomiendo al 100% Una experiencia maravillosa!

El lugar es espectacular, la habitación muy limpia, la calefacción es buenísima y el personal muy amable. Un lugar increíble. Repetiremos seguro.

Fuimos a pasar unos días con el bebé y el lugar es genial, tiene muy buenas vistas, habitaciones muy bonitas y acogedoras, el trato de los dueños genial, son muy majos y atentos. Lo recomendamos al 100%

Espectacular en todos los sentidos, la amabilidad de Kike y Ana, sus maravillosos desayunos, las habitaciones, las vistas que tiene el cortijo, la ubicación para recorrer la alpujarra, ha sido nuestro primer viaje con nuestro bebé y ha sido una escapada de 10!
