Alpujarra Escape

We loved it! Perfect spot in Canar village. The house was comfortable and well equipped as well as having a nice style. Robin was a kind host - we arrived for Christmas and he had put up a small tree, some house plants and a big bag of firewood for the stove. The village shop was great - supplied a remarkable range and the lady very friendly even without a word of English and our dodgy Spanish. There is really easy access to some fantastic mountain walks straight from the house, and we all enjoyed the hot tub at the end of the day. Cold beer in a hot tub with snow on the distant peaks - fabulous! Thoroughly recommend this place.

I've stayed at The Mill a couple of times now. Its a stunningly beautiful location with a serenity that can only be truly understood once experienced. Robin the host is incredibly friendly and helpful, even down to carrying our shopping to the house for us! Ideal for larger groups, walkers, outdoorsy people, and those like us who just wanted to get away from it all. Highly recommended!!

We truly enjoyed the extremely well equipped accommodation and the excellent hospitality. The village is lovely and in the shop we could buy all we needed. From Canar there are many options for hiking.
