Maybe ownership changed recently? When I was there on July 29, 2019, a Chinese family ran it. Service was friendly, and prices on cold drinks only a tad higher than at chain-supermarkets. Also, the nearby plaza (Paseo San Cristobal) had a good view of outside Toledo, with clean shaded benches to have lunch.

Water price wasn't a ripoff (about 0.6 euro for 1.5 liters), unlike the nearby shops.
