Wow wow wow....
How refreshing to have such exceptional service in a budget accommodation on the Camino, this is our 3rd year bringing groups on Camino trips, and have never experienced such outstanding service, rooms are great too, clean, warm and perfect.
Haven't even had breakfast yet!... but had to comment.
Special mention for Pili on reception, so lovely taking care of our pelegrinos, and Michael who assisted her, always a umbrella at the ready.

I stayed at Hotel Casa Benilde for my Palas De Rey stop during the Camino de Santiago, and I would definitely recommend this hotel!
My room was beautiful, comfortable and spotless.
Breakfast offered a lot of choices (croissant, cheese, ham, freshly toasted bread to top with butter and jam or with the traditional olive oil and tomato), freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee - and the staff very helpful.
Special mention to the reception staff, who go above and beyond to assist the guests: they gave me a map of the town explaining where the useful places are (pharmacy, supermarket, launderette), and for all the eating places they specified the type (sandwich, set menu, a la carte etc.), and they gave me an umbrella when I went out and rain was forecast.
If you find yourself in Palas, consider staying here.

Walking Camino de Santiago in Spain (Sarria to Santiago de Compostela). This hotel was our third stop on this trek. Only b & b but a really nice hotel. Had a single room which was not an afterthought. Room (with a/c) & shower room spotless. Bed comfortable Staff excellent. Continental breakfast - squeezed orange juice served to you. Toast & coffee/tea made for you. One of our party left behind a sweatshirt which they forwarded to our next hotel. Best hotel experience I've had in a long time.

Could not fault this hotel. Quiet, Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Very attentive staff who even found my walking clothes I had left behind and got them to my next hotel. Plenty of eating places around as it is very central.

We stated here as part of a group (9) from Australia walking the Camino. From the moment we arrived, we were provided with EXCELLENT service. They were extremely helpful telling us about the hotel facilities, the local restaurants and local services.
Their breakfast was excellent and the team that served us were first rate.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

This hotel is Fabulous. Walking the Camino De Santiago, we arrived to hotel Casa Benilde without reservations, during Holy Week, and took the last rooms available for the day. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Pili and Manuel were at the reception area and were very helpful, friendly, and professional. Pili arranged reservations for us for the next three days on the camino, while Manuel answered all sorts of minor but informative questions. Both of them made us feel like valued guests at the hotel.
I can say, without a doubt, that this is an excellent hotel, with great service and professional staff, and I highly recommend it.

We found this Hotel was perfect place to stay whilst walking the Camino. Staff were very nice and friendly yet very efficient.

Hotel familiar, las personas en la recepción y el chico que servía el desayuno fueron maravillosas, amables, atentas y un encanto, me dieron información muy completa de los sitios que ver, visitar y comer en Palas.
Las habitaciones muy limpias, amplias, no eran modernas, pero sí muy funcionales y prácticas.
El desayuno muy completo y variado, podías elegir bastante y el chico que lo servía muy atento y servicial
Una estancia genial, y un personal maravilloso. Recomendable 100%

Es un hotel muy acogedor. El personal muy amable y respetuoso. Atentos siempre a cualquier cosa que necesites.Te acompañan hasta tu habitación. Te orientan con un mapa sobre los sitios que hay en el pueblo. Excelente estancia la verdad

Estuve un día durante mi Camino de Santiago. Había leído en las reseñas acerca de la hospitalidad de los trabajadores del hotel (Especialmente de Pilar), pero cuando uno llega realmente le hacen sentir como en casa, no se puede ser más amable.
Esto, unido a la limpieza y a las preciosas y amplias habitaciones, hace que merezca la pena 100% dormir en dicho hotel.
Además situado perfectamente en el centro. Totalmente recomendable.
