I just completed a four week introductory course in Spanish at Understand Valencia. I was initially concerned that I would not be able to keep up with a class but the format of the class was perfect - 2 1/2 hours a day, four days a week. We all had strengths and weaknesses, but the instructor helped us all to keep up. I learned a ton and I had a lot of fun doing so! I also got some great suggestions for things to do in Valencia. My instructor Louise was fantastic - she was patient and quick to use humour to help us along! I would highly recommend Spanish classes at Understand Valencia.

I have been taking intensive spanish classes at Understand Valencia for around 4 months and I cannot recommend this school enough!! The teachers and staff here are incredible. I had both Paco and Julia and they were both so understanding and professional, always ensuring that each student understood the concepts being taught. The classes are always relatively small which creates a lovely group dynamic and makes everyone feel comfortable to practice their spanish. I learnt so much in my time here and I have tried a few schools in Valencia and nothing has ever compared to this one! Thank you so much for making learning spanish such an enjoyable experience!

I have been taking intensive Spanish classes for almost 3 months now. The experience in this school has been nothing but perfect.

I went from A1 to finishing A2 in that time, in a class of 4 to 8 people at most (but mostly we were around 6) so perfect number to speak and learn.

I had a few teachers in this time, all excellent with dynamism, patience, pedagogy and real interest to see you improve. The grand majority of classes I had were with Andrea and it has been a real pleasure going each day.

I also enjoyed the easy contact with the school through WhatsApp as well as directly. Helpful and nice people all around!

Prices are extremely competitive as well, I don't think there is a better deal in Valencia.

Finally I have met fascinating people there from lots of countries, understanding Spanish culture together has been fun!

For all these reasons I can only recommend and thank Understand Valencia.

I had an amazing time learning Spanish here at Understand Valencia. The staff was very accommodating to my needs, quick to respond, and it is also very reasonably priced. My teacher Estela was the best! Super committed to her students well- being and learning and really takes the time for individualized attention when needed. I would 110% recommend this school if you’re looking to improve your Spanish and truly enjoy going to class everyday.

Fantastic Academy!

I attended Understand Valencia's English B2 course this summer and it was a fun and educational experience.
Louise is a very kind and knowledgeable teacher who knows how to put her students at ease. The course is eclectic: speaking, reading, listening and we did a lot of exercises. Everything they teach is useful to improve the language in a versatile and very professional way. It's what I needed to improve my English and after only two months the results can be seen, and how!

I can’t recommend Understand Valencia enough! I’ve recently taken a Spanish B1 intensive course with them and really enjoyed it! Estella is an amazing teacher and is great at catering to everyone’s strengths and weakness.

The intensive course was 4 days a week for 2.5 hours and I can say that my Spanish and confidence in speaking out of the classroom have improved greatly! Not only did I learn but I’ve met great friends in my class, everyone is very supportive!

Definitely check out Understand Valencia for a language school! They are super affordable (especially for an intensive course), welcoming, diverse in their teaching styles, and most of all FUN!

I have been studying Spanish at Understand Valencia for 1 year and i will continue. The atmosphere in the academy is very friendly, professional and positive. The teachers have an excellent understanding of what the students need to make progress and at the same time, the lessons are fun and engaging. Also, at Understand Valencia I met some of my best friends, so for me is a very special place. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn Spanish (or English) as it's not just a place to learn but also socialise and meet amazing people from all over the world.

I have been with Understand Valencia on the intensive course since January 2022. Estela is the best teacher I’ve ever had. She’s so patient, personable and makes each class really interesting.
I also attend the Wednesday Zoom class with Carlos 6-8pm and always feel more comfy speaking Spanish afterwards-he’s a great teacher too.
The school has different classes at different times so there’s something for all levels. I would 100% recommend them!

I studied in Understand Valencia for 7 months in 2022. I can not recommend it more. You have the opportunity to
Study and learn from interesting people from all over the globe, the crew is also amazing! In addition, I have to mention that Anna (Spanish) and Natalia (English) are among the best teachers I have had in my whole life, if possible, look for them, you won’t regret!

I spent 6-7 weeks here starting on the A1 course with no previous Spanish education and I couldn’t recommend Understand Valencia enough! Alejandro and Ana, my teachers, were very diligent and great fun. Every day was entertaining and I could see my progress over the duration. Obviously I learned a lot about the language but I really enjoyed Ana and Alejandro’s insights into Spanish and Latin culture. The class sizes were very small and it was very easy to make some friends and learn from each other. Raquel and Estela were very helpful and accommodating, always quick to get back to any query and friendly faces in the morning. All going well, I’ll get back to spend a few more weeks with you guys in the future. Thank you

I learned and enjoyed it a lot! And I highly recommend. Besides learning the language it is a good experience for me.

I love everything about this school. I have been to few other schools in Vslencia and this us by far the best. Teachers are excellent, location and facility is great and the staff is very accommodating and helpful. Great job.

Understand Valencia is perfect for anyone wanting to improve their Spanish and offers an excellent level of teaching. On top of the great location and facilities, the courses themselves are well organised and follow a good pace, meaning you have plenty time to go over and understand the material. The teachers are incredibly friendly and patient, helping you through every aspect of your language journey, while small group sizes mean everyone gets to participate. Additionally, the school is very flexible with the wishes and needs of their students, adapting to each student’s level of proficiency and desired workload.

The atmosphere is welcoming to beginners; I initially felt shy to speak and make mistakes in class, however, quickly became comfortable and have seen a great improvement in just a months’ time!

(As a side note, they also make sure the classes are well ventilated and adequate Covid-19 measures are taken into account, allowing you to focus on your studies)

Overall I am very happy with my choice to join Understand Valencia and look forward to continuing my studies :)

I was looking for a Spanish school for a long time and I try a lot of them. Unfortunately, 😞it is not so easy to find a really good one. I was lucky ☘and by chance, I went to Understand Valencia and I love it. 😍
I think the most important thing is the real motivating and helpful atmosphere☀ around. It is exactly what I find in this school. The Spanish classes are great! I've learnt so much during the lessons! All staff super nice and friendly, especially the owner of the school Estela, she was always honest and open to help in all situations when I have to miss the class and if I have any questions. This school even give me amazing opportunity to organize my art 🎨workshop between students to practice some English with the art atmosphere. It was awesome!

The classes are small and my teacher, Alba, was simply amazing! I attended online but the classes were still very engaging. The school and teachers are attentive and responsive to any needs you may have as well. I highly recommend taking classes here!

Friendly academy centrally located. Reception staff are very responsive and the teaching team are knowledgeable and encouraging. They offer a varied schedule for all levels. I highly recommend.

I had a very enjoyable experience with Understanding Valencia. I took classes that were face to face and online due to Covid and found both types of classes quite engaging and challenging which is what I was looking for to improve my overall level of Spanish. The class size was nice and small and we practiced aural, oral and written skills from grammar to vocabulary every class. I would highly recommend Understanding Valencia to anyone looking to improve their language skills online or in person for good value.

I'd definitely recommend Understand Valencia. In just 1 month, I'm speeding through A1 without knowing a lick of Spanish beforehand. Estela is a wonderful teacher who is very empathetic and suitable for all types of learners. The classes are very immersed and reasonably priced for what you get. I'd definitely recommend them and hope to continue with them throughout my Spanish fluency journey!
