Mas Karmel B&B & Camping

A wonderful campsite in a stunning environment. Never had so much space and tranquility before. No fixed spaces and maximum 20 guests on the whole terrain. It's possible to buy some food and drinks at Karin and Ron, and order bread for the morning. And use the pool, in a nice setting. Really the best campsite ever.

Lovely Karin and Ron are great hosts. We feel grateful to spend one night at your place. We loved everything, the area, the facilities were really well manteined and really clean, the rest of the guests were respectful, quiets and nice to have a chat... I mean, everything was perfect. We were riding our bikes from Alcañiz towards Tortosa. The stop was perfect, because is pretty much halfway and the idea of renting one of their two tents saved us from carrying a lot of things. We took the option with bed sheets on the tent supplied from Karin (enough for nights under 10°, I reckon) and also fridge to keep our drinks cold for the next day and power to charge the phone, the bed was really comfy, the price was really good and apart the tent, we had plenty of space outside for our privacy. We also enjoyed some delicious Burgers cooked by Ron (it was delicious,mate!) and a fantastic breakfast in the morning by the lovely Karin. We'll definitely come back. Next time more days, to explore a bit more the area of Horta de Sant Joan, with the van and our dogs, because... yes! It's a dog friendly camp area.

A few weeks ago (july) my partner and I spent 3 nights in Mas Karmel camping with our puppy and we absolutely loved it. The place is very peaceful and as there aren't dedicated tent pitches, it feels like you're in the middle of nature. The surroundings are breathtaking. There's also a pool that you can use. The owners are really nice and they welcome doggies. We'll definitely come back!

Great camping, not a big commercial place. But a place to stay with an off-grid feeling but with great showers and clean bathrooms.
It's like staying on the farm. A lot of space and olive trees.
They have a pool and BBQ facilities as well.
If you have a dog, it's welcome too!

We absolutely fell in love with Karin and Ron’s property. They are two of the kindest, most welcoming people we have had the pleasure to meet. The space they have created is mesmerizing. As soon as we unloaded our bags, we regretted only booking one night. The view is indescribable, the tent was so comfortable and spacious, the bathrooms were spotless, and their company was wonderful. They have something incredibly special, and we hope very much to return one day!

Incredible campsite! Would highly recommend staying here! So much to see in surrounding area as well. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful place! Beautiful people! I strongly recommend this place. It has nothing to do with the normal campings in Spain. Is real nature!!! Absolutely recommended!

Mas Karmel is a beautiful camping, with lovely owners: Ron and Karin. We were there for more than a week, and every night we cooked in the outside kitchen. The atmosphere is amazing, with a nice swimming pool, and all kind of cute paths throughout the campsite. If you are looking for a calming, beautiful, quiet and friendly place to stay, you should go here!! Especially if you like nature 🌱

Clean, romantic place of adorable Dutch couple with stunning views. The location is just great (close to the beautiful village Horta de San Joan)! If you want to disconnect from the daily routines and enjoy nature this is really the place to be ;)

I must reject my first opinion as it was esited by mistake. My stay here is brilliant, super relaxing, the deal with the owners fluent and clear, and (the best for the latest) the mountain views, the calm, the quiet and cool refreshing air of the village and sorroudings is highly advicible and recomended

My friends stayed here while visiting me. They rented the apartment which was very large with a full sized bathroom and a nice terrace. They really enjoyed it!

A rare example of a natural campspace. No dedicated places, low-tech and powered by selfcontaining solar energy emphasize the owners respect for nature and tranquility. Families with kids are discouraged. Spot on!

Perfect place.

Net vanochtend weggereden van deze fantastische plek. De tweede keer dit jaar! De terrassen camping is rustig met ruime plekken en prachtige uitzichten en zonsopgangen. Karin en Ron zijn lieve, gastvrije en gezellige mensen die je een welkom gevoel geven. De omgeving is heel mooi en er is van alles te doen. Het nabijgelegen natuurpark en de Via Verde zijn heel mooi. Supermarkten in het nabijgelegen dorpje op loopafstand. Wij gaan zeker nog eens terugkomen!

Sehr ruhiger Platz, Gastgeber sind sehr hilfsbereit und lieb. Das Essen ist auch sehr lecker. Sehr schön zum Wandern und Fahrrad fahren

Geweldige ervaring gehad hier. Waren aan het rond trekken in Spanje en kwamen hier aan voor 2 nachten, maar besloten om langer te blijven. Uitzicht vanaf de camping geweldig en ook veel te doen in de omgeving: kloven, stuwmeren, (relatief eenvoudige) bergwandelingen, fietspad op een oud treinspoor. Noem het maar op.

De verzorging door Ron en Karin is super. Wij hebben hier elke dag gegeten (zowel 's ochtends als 's avonds) en dat beviel enorm! Ook leuk om te zien en horen hoe Ron en Karin 'Mas Karmel' gemaakt hebben tot wat het nu is! Super lieve en enthousiaste mensen, nogmaals bedankt hiervoor!

Kortom: Aanrader!

Eind februari kwamen we op Mas Karmel dankzij de mooie berichten op internet. En het is een fantastische plek met veel ruimte, geweldig uitzicht met nu bloeiende amandelbomen. Wandelen, fietsen en genieten van de rust. Karin en Rob zijn heel prettige mensen en Lola hun hond was een goede vriend. Ga erheen en geniet!!! Vincent en Anna
