Castillo de Santa Ana

Castle looked great from the outside. Sadly, we arrived at a time when it was closed (little tip for you....check opening times before you go) haha! Some beautiful photo opportunities there. I may go back when it is open but from what I could see it was amazing.

Worth a look and even better it was free to enter. Beautiful views from the top and very well kept. Inside is currently displaying a photography and art exhibition which was very interesting, especially for my eldest daughter. We all enjoyed the time we spent there and would recommend anyone visiting the area to take a look.

If you visit nearby Spain then it's a nice stop off point during a beach walk to grab some much needed shade.

This is an old fort i believe dating back to 1700s however it is very modern inside and to be fair, it looks great!!

It is now an art gallery with plenty of pictures and quirky art pieces and to top it off, it's free to get in!!

You can also go up to roof and have a good view out to sea and across the harbour. Its not huge so plan this in as a minor pit stop.

Oh.. and there's a nice Amphitheatre outside too :)

A beautiful, relaxing, peaceful place for a walk, sight-seeing and tapas nearby the beach.

Its a very nice place for walking or biking. Very imposant location. Good to make pictures. The beach in the near is very good.

For anyone on holiday in Roquetas De Mar this visitor attraction is a must see. Compact in size the castle is a perfect coastal fortress and provides space inside for interesting works of art, photography and model ships, plus more. The interior has been designed with a wrought iron spiral staircase at its centre. I was fascinated by the model of a submarine, in section so that you could see all the interior workings. On the roof sections you have panoramic views of the marina, lighthouse and coastline which is beautiful. And entry is free! Go see it.

A special place for concerts and art expositions. One of the jewels of Roquetas de Mar, and the ancient music festival has become the best event of July.

A very beautiful historical place. A piece of history very well conserved, good to share with the children!

Belen - The Bethlehem Nativity Scene. Free entry at the castle, a beautiful adaptation of the Nativity Scene.

It's very nice to walk around, and the views are amazing. Next to this is a nice marina.

Interesting and well cared for. Dogs not usually admitted, but since it was quiet we were allowed in carrying our small dog. No entrance fee.

Great little Castle with free entry, interesting historical exhibition and great views from the rooftop.

Amazing visit and such beautiful works of art if your travelling to the area be sure to make a visit you won’t regret it.
