This place! Wow, just wow!

Full disclosure, people say this is the largest English bookstore in Madrid. First off, nothing in Madrid is large; in fact, most shops and restaurants are smaller than you might think or than they appear from the outside. Second, English sections in bookstores don’t really exist, which means full English bookstores in Madrid are found where unicorns frolic and mermaids splash. Therefore, my first thought was that to tout to having the largest English bookstore in Madrid is akin to celebrating being the tallest human in a room full of tomatoes. However, I must joyfully and explicitly say that I was wrong in my thinking.

For Madrid, this place is huge and contains a vast array of English books that one living in Spain can only acquire via Amazon or online (the price is competitive too). Truly, the exclamation that this place is large and holds a ton of English books is absolutely correct. My family and I were in awe of the wide selection and attention to customer care found here. A refreshment and seating area is in the back placed among the volumes of used books. Seriously, what a great place!

Honestly, believe the hype. Go, and enjoy hours of meandering and satisfying your inner bibliophile.

Best bookstore ever!! Great collection of classics and best sellers books. Great atmosphere, and staff... Specially David, his owner.

Every Saturday at 11:30 am there is storytime... With a great show with trains, and of course well narrated stories by David.

You can pre-order books and they will inform you the minute they arrive...

A delightful find! A store full of English titles, both new and used. They also organize book clubs and reads sometimes with cozy chairs in a quiet space at the back of the store. Staff was pleasant and I felt comfortable browsing their amazing collection.

Wonderful discovery in lovely Huertas! A spacious, bright and modern English bookstore, clearly laid out and labelled. There are 3 main areas including a cosy space to read and relax at the back, with used aka pre-loved books. There are even English greeting cards and funky tote bags as pressies.

📚 The owner David and his wife are really welcoming, kind and happy to help out and make recommendations for whatever genre you are interested in.

This is a great and friendly place to come and discover new authors and take home great reads for yourself or for others

Okay but... This was, hands down, the loveliest bookstore I've been to in Madrid, and I've been to nearly all of them.
This hidden gem specializes in brand new English books, which is pretty rare in Madrid, and not only that but the prices aren't inflamed like they are in other independent bookstores, they're actually reasonably priced (literally prices you'd see on Amazon).
The owner was incredibly lovely and helpful, the bookstore vibe itself was incredibly relaxed, welcoming and chill.
I was frankly surprised by the large selection of the more trendy books, specifically the fantastic romance and fantasy sections, so this is definitely a spot I'll be recommending for years to come.
It's also worth mentioning that there's a very large selection of secondhand books in the back, and the cutest coffee and snacks table for prospective clientes.
Strongly, strongly recommend checking it out!

My favorite spot in Madrid! They have a very diverse selection of books at great prices, the staff is very helpful and the owner is absolutely delightful!
The book club meetings are also amazing. I love this place and highly recommend it to anyone who likes reading. Even if they don't have the book you're looking for in stock, they help you find it.

This may be one of my favorite places on earth. I have spent way more money than I should there but It made me so happy. You will find anything you may bee looking for in that bookstore. Everything is so meticoulsy well displayed. And I also adored the used books corner they have at the back 😍

I always struggle to find a place where they sell English books, but this place has EVERYTHING. Even the trendiest books, and if they don't have it, you can ask for it and they'll make sure to order it.

Moreover, the owners are so kind and sweet, I always feel welcome due to that warm atmosphere, I feel it like my comfort place!

Whenever I want a book, I make sure to visit The Secret Kingdoms first and purchase it there.
Everytime I go to just browse, I end up buying a book (or more than one).
The editions and the way they place everything makes it so easy to search for whatever you want.

A delightful bookstore with an even more delightful proprietor! My husband and I brought our three children here (two teenagers and a 6-year old) and we all found loads and loads of books we wanted to bring home. The front room has new books and book-related gifts (tote bags, greeting cards, etc.), while the back room has used books, several comfy chairs, and a table with complimentary tea and coffee and cold drinks. We spent a lovely hour here and will recommend it to anyone traveling to Madrid.

The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. There is a large collection of books with a lot of genres. There is also a section in the back full of second hand books at great prices.

My favourite bookstore in madrid, they have the best selection of English books in perfect condition for great prices. The bookclubs are really fun and the perfect place to meet new people! David is a great bookseller and host!

This is heaven. The interior looks absolutely stunning. There are comfy chairs you can sit in and read (or even work for a little bit), a coffee + tea station and a loooot of books. Either you can buy new ones or pre loved (as they call it, which i adore) ones for fraction of the original price.

Love this bookstore! The good vibes you can feel the very moment you enter is amazing! Great selection of books and the customer service is great. They also have a book club and storytelling for kids over the weekend! Highly recommend!

Great little English bookshop hidden in barrio de Las letras! The staff are lovely and will always help you find what you're looking for, including ordering it in if they don't have it in stock.

Had the pleasure to find this place - as I was in dire need to a new book. Giedre was an absolute treasure to get guidance from but she also asked for suggestions from me, which showed deep curiosity and I appreciated that a lot. Oh, how I love this bookstore! Everything is in English and they have a great selection of both classics and modern literature. They run two concurrent book clubs, a philosophy club and a writer’s group. They have a fabulous selection of queer literature, right up in the front of the store. The staff is very friendly and helpful What more can I say? All they need is a resident cat! 🐱

A great book store if you are looking for English books in Madrid. It has the right book for everyone. The staff provided me with a lot of helpful suggestions of books that I might like as I was not looking for something specific. I really recommend coming here if you are looking for English books.
