Castillo de Fornà

Easy walk up. Only open occasionally. Stunning views over Forna, best visited on weekends when the neighbouring quarry isn't open.

A very impressive castle on a round trip tour from Pego where the tourist information centre staff were very helpful. We toured in our own car and followed the TI advice to drive anticlockwise. The hills on the southern section have been devastated by forest fires

Visited as part of an extended hike so was there before opening. Still worth the short climb up the hill as fabulous views and a real feeling of history. Terrific walking in the area as well.

Cafe at the bottom car park, not open but impressive.

Only open on Sundays and certain holidays, take good foot wear, the talk is given in Valenciano, but you can get a guide book 32 pages in English, which is very good! € 3.00 Entrance few.

Beautiful place. Sadly, closed when we got there. But I believe there are organised tours of this castle. Lovely restaurant nearby also.

Un castillo muy chulo, sobre todo por el lugar en el que se encuentra enclavado. En un lugar muy chulo y rodeado de vegetación. Con unas vistas espectaculares.
Los últimos metros de la subida, a partir de la cadena, tienen bastante desnivel positivo. Si subes andando bien, pero con la bicicleta se hace durillo.
Visita breve pero muy recomendable por mi parte.

Bonito lugar, buen Estado de conservación, parking, subida fácil por camino de hormigón sin tráfico de vehículos, solo los últimos 30 metros esta con piedra original pero en general el acceso es muy bueno, restaurante en el mismo parking, centro de interpretación, recomiendo

Het kasteel heeft slechts korte opening tijden, maar toch zeker de moeite van de klim waard. Het uitzicht is geweldig!!

Sind mit dem Rad von Oliv aus zum Castell de Forno gefahren. Eine schöne und sehr wenig befahrene Strecke vorbei an jede Menge Orangenplantagen. Einfach 15 km. Das Castell selber war, obwohl lt. INTERNET Montags ganztägig geöffnet, geschlossen. Ist wohl eher eine baufällige Ruine. Forna ist ein schönes kleines Dorf. Bis Forna und zum Castell geht es teilweise bergauf. Dafür war der Rückweg mit dem Hundeanhänger leichter.

El castillo esta chulisimo, pero lamentablemente estaba cerrado aunque en el horario de google indicaba lo contrario. Para gente que vienen de lejos es un chasco.

ACTUALMENTE EL CASTILLO DE FORNA PERMANECE CERRADO POR OBRAS. NO SE PUEDE ACCEDER AL MISMO, NI A LAS SENDAS DE SU ENTORNO.

Pueblo con encanto, con carreteras y caminos para disfrutar de la naturaleza, poquitos km de la masificada costa es todo un lujo.

Fantástico castillo del siglo XIII, y un entorno increíble, recomiendo visitar Forna.

Maravilloso lugar super tranquilo y gente muy simpática excelente sitio para desconectar y Relajarse

Uno de los castillos y entornos más bonitos de la zona. Nos quedamos con ganas de visitar su interior, pero estaba cerrado.
