Retrogusto Coffeemates - Specialty Coffee

Tried the cortado, cappuccino and latte on the 2 mornings we were in Valencia. Lovely coffee and worth our walk to the market just to get a cuppa!
Liked it so much we didn’t bother searching for another coffee place.

Their coffee is very good. Not too bitter. The barista was very friendly too. I was taken by their cups too, so cool. Well worth a coffee break whilst exploring the market.

Martina, the barista at Retrogusto, pulled me an absolutely exquisite shot of espresso that totally exceeded my expectations. Sweet, syrupy, full bodied and delicious. I was lucky enough to return for a cortado and have a nice morning chat with Martina. Thanks!

This is the best flat white you can find in Valencia city! The foam is so creamy and the nutty favor of the beans are the best way to start my day!! You won't be disappointed if you come here for coffee!! :)

Kind of hidden and hard to find inside the market, but worth the search. Great tasting flat white with velvety milk. Probably the best I had so far in Valencia!

Apart from espresso, cappuccino, latte etc. you can buy freshly roasted coffee from “Right side ” roasters at reasonable prices.
A must visit for a coffee lovers :)

Absolutely wonderful specialty coffee! My partner and I have visited tens of coffee shops in Valencia, and this is by far our favorite. The barista was very attentive and thoughtful in the way she prepares our coffees. It was a fantastic experience.

I visited in two different days and had a cortado and a filter batch brew Ethiopia.
I am not a fan of batch brew (I prefer v60s). The brew was more than decent. Sweet, with a hint of complexity.

The Cortado, though, was like a hug. Terribly aromatic, sweet, with a hint of acidity. The milk was foamed to perfection.

Finally, the barista was very kind and made both experiences enjoyable

Be advised:
1. This is not a place you can sit down. You'll either drink your coffee standing or take it to go
2. It was hard to find (and equally hard to explain where it is). Just trust that it is, indeed, in the central market, on one of the first/last two rows (depending on how you enter). Somewhere towards the middle ish of the row

Rare gem in Spain, specialty coffee from Right Side and Square Mile coffee roasters, to taste or to buy for home.

Best coffee in Valencia. Love this place in the market. I first discovered it 3 years ago, and I can say it was an equally satisfying experience 3 years later. It should be your first stop at the market to energize for all the sites in the market. Great beans to bring back home too! Highly recommend.

For all lovers of the best speciality coffees. A must visit. They sell specialty coffees roasted by “Rightside” Barcelona as well as onsite coffee service.

Excelent coffee. They use speciality coffee, from what I've seen it's from Nomad in Barcelona. The coffee they had was freshly roasted (about 1 week) and it was prepared really good.

The cafe is right in the central market, so there is no seating available. It is the best coffee I've had in Valencia.

As an Australian, this coffee was like being home. I find it hard to get a coffee like I'm used to in Europe, but this little shop nails it. It's a little tricky to find, but they have a map on their website showing where they are located within the market. It's worth the effort, trust me.

Best espresso in Valencia. You know you are in the right place when you ask for lungo and they know how to make it. I loved my daily stop on my way the office the whole month I stayed in Valencia. Gracias!

A little bit hard to find in the market but well worth the tail chasing. Friendly service and excellent coffee using some of Barcelona's top roasters.

I've been chasing coffee around the world and this really tops the list. You can taste nuances and subtleties from the Americano to the lattes.
The barista weighs every single pull and the precision really shows.
