I highly recommend this school! Great contact, equipment, transport, conditions, waves and a beautiful beach! Very kind, experienced instructors with hudge knowledge! I especially recommend lessons with Koldo, who is patient and cares about details to teach you as much as possible - I have caught every wave with him! I will definitely come back here someday!

Me and my friends have been surfing with the school last year and this year! We really enjoyed it! Gorka the owner is very flexible, happy and trustworthy. This year we had the best time with our surf instructor Koldo. He was super professional and very funny. He made such an effort to teach us how to surf and the better we became, the happier he was. Took a private lesson at this school and had great 2 hours with Gorka - an experienced surfer who not only taught well, but also radiated enthusiasm and joy for surfing.

Really brilliant surf experience! 2h class, 35euros including surf board and wetsuit. Koldo, our surf guru, was incredibly nice, very helpful and supportive. After so many attempts, and his constant advices, I did manage to stand on the board! Wohoo! Go there guys, it’s definitely a school worth of its 5 stars reviews! :D

Great experience at the Gorka Yarritu Surf Eskola Sopelana. We were quite a small group which allowed us to get lots of feedback from the teacher. Our teacher was Koldo, he is a great instructor who gives lots of tips on techniques to improve. Good vibes in the class, we learnt a lot and had a great time. Would definitely recommend it. The surf school is super. The surf instructors are very friendly, multilingual, professional and adapt to the ability of each participant. The group sizes are very small, which makes individual attention well possible.
The school is also very flexible when it comes to scheduling.
The equipment provided for the lessons (different surfboards and wetsuits) was always in top condition.

I am lucky enough to have had my first surf experience at this school. Two instructors for up to 10-11 people, who are happy to explain and support you and if you bring enough motivation, perfect basis to learn and take some steps on this sport. I can totally recommend it. These 3 days have only been the beginning for sure. Special thanks to my almost private teacher Koldo! You were great and have made history in my history!

Had an incredible time learning how to surf at the Gorka Yarritu Surf Eskola! The surf instructors (especially Koldo!) are incredibly attentive and kind, making sure you always feel safe and secure. They helped spark a love for surfing in me and I’m so grateful for my awesome experience there!!

My 2 daughters took 5 days surf lessons for beginners with Surf Eskola Sopelana. They had really a great time. They want to come back to continue with the same school and the same teachers which is the best feedback for a parent. I have joined the lessons for last 3 days and I confirm it is a great experience. The teachers spread passion to surfing and give all students feeling of personal attention. This school is a great surf school for either beginners, but also intermediates. The teachers are very nice and helpful and they give you many useful advices, too. I am glad I chose this school to help me start with my surfing.
