Great service. The staff (I think he was the owners son) was really helpful and took time to help me find the Beret which suited me best and the explained how to care for my Beret. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely, like stepping back in time. All items are fairly priced. You get really enthused, warm service, they are clearly very passionate about hats and making customers feel amazing. Wish I had more heads to put a hat on. Very happy with my beret!

What a lovely experience. The owner of this shop is so kind and accomodating and answered all my silly questions about various Basque headwear! Very patient and spoke English as well as he took the time to let me try different berets. Definitely worth a visit! Do note their opening hours though - they are closed in the afternoon after lunch (like many businesses in Spain).

If you like time travel, to walk into a place and pretend, this is a place. From the outside, the window displays, the inside, the great hats, the measurement devices, the mannequins. I just smiled the whole time I was in there and, my goodness, what a staff. I challenge you to leave without a Txapela, you can't.

Well worth a visit. Genuine berets and caps of the highest quality at a great price.

I contacted don Emilio via WhatsApp from the link on his Facebook page, which I found from his entertaining and informative YT videos on how to wear a proper basque txapela and the different kinds of them. Google it, you’ll be amused too!

He responded on WhatsApp and from there we worked out a new collection of fabulous Basque txapelas for me. He was so patient and responsive over text. (Of course being a native Spanish speaker myself helped us communicate better.)

He’s direct and clear, working to run his business online and his shop. I paid for my order via his website shopping cart and it was really satisfying that he provided a tracking number.

I’ve also come to appreciate the particular txapelas he sent me because 1) they’re 100% basque master pieces, the wool is so dense and beautiful 2) his labels sewed on the lining of the SuperLujos are house Gorostiaga nobility — looks so gorgeous, and if you’re into boinas-txapelas-berets you know what I mean when you see the “etiquetas” in the Gorostiaga hats. I can’t wait to see his shop in person some day!

I saw this shop on a UK TV show called Travel Man , the 2 presenters bought berets from this shop .On a recent visit to Bilbao I called into this shop and bought a beret or Txapela. The proprietor was very helpful, highly recommended.

Un placer comprar ahí. Verdaderos expertos de los sombreros. Te asesoran muy bien sobre lo que te favorece y el modelo a utilizar según el material y la utilidad para lo que lo quieres. Compré una boina de color para el invierno y un sombrero de ala ancha para la playa. Me encantan los dos.

Atención excelente para un regalo, supieron aconsejarme y acertaron de lleno. Boinas de toda la vida y de gran calidad. Variedad de modelos y precios, así que apto para todos los bolsillos. Muy recomendable.

Compré 7 boinas por correo y transferencia bancaria. El jefe es muy honesto y le dio unos regalos. Creo que sus sombreros son más auténticos y de mejor calidad. Es por eso que no lo compré en otro lugar, sino que opté por enviarlo por correo.

Muy recomendable . Comercio de los de siempre en el Casco Viejo bilbaíno . Mis aitites se compraban el siglo pasado las txapelas (todas , las de diario , las ir los domingos a misa a Begoña ó a la Catedral de Santiago...) en Gorostiaga , solo en Gorostiaga porque nunca mudaban su color aunque se mojasen ó les diera el sol inclemente , además no se deformaban .
Ahora yo compro sombreros de Panamá y viseras .
La mejor atención , el mejor trato personal , lo saben todo en su especialidad de sombrerería .
