Enjoyed dinner here! Place is owned by a lovely English couple. Service was great. The host was very gracious and welcoming. Food was flavourful and filling. Would especially recommend the breaded mushroom appetiser!

We were a party of 15 for a special birthday. Pre-ordered the food from an evening menu that included ½ a caraffe bof wine per couple.
All courses excellent and home cooked. I had the fishcakes followed by pan fried fish on potatoes. Dessert was tiramisu and for hubby the brownie.
Really recommend this place for an excellent meal.

Hidden gem of Albox. Absolutely beautiful meal. 3 courses for €11.95 including a carafe of wine between 2 people. Lots to choose from including meat and fish.

Wonderful food, all delicious and we'll presented. Excellent service and ambiance. Well recommend a visit. All 4 of the party thoroughly enjoyed all of the courses. Excellent value for money

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The owners couldn't do enough for us. As for the food. Well all i can say is gorgeous nothing left on any of our parties plates. Would recommend to anyone. Real value for money Thanks again

Visited last night for the first time. Couldn't fault the food or the service very relaxed and never felt rushed. Carol was so friendly she even gave us her number so we could book via WhatsApp. Also cater for gluten and dairy free

The food is full of favour, and it looks great, the hole place is exceptionally well presented, it makes for a great atmosphere for an special occasion.

We absolutely loved the place, great staff, very friendly and attentive when we wanted something.

We sat in the lounge area before and after we ate with a drink, it gives the place that 5☆ feeling using it rather than just using the table.

We was exceptionally surprised when we got the bill at how good value for money it is..

We will most definitely be going back!!

When reading previous reviews it's like reading about 2 different restaurants! They are either wonderful or rubbish! I can only report as experienced tonight. We had enough excellent service with a friendly but not intrusive waiter and the owner also was attentive and pleasant. We did not feel rushed at all. The food was of high quality, expertly cooked, we'll presented and very tasty. I appreciate that a different chef can change the perception of a meal but our whole experience was enjoyable and satisfying. We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant and return but in view of others comments, it needs to be consistently good.

My wife and I are thinking of locating to the area and on a recent visit was recommended to this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The food and service was great and the owners friendly. Even turns out the chef came from the same town as my wife. We will be back! .

What a lovely place, had a excellent meal served by friendly staff and was very surprised how cheap it was. Hopefully we will have chance to visit again when we are over to see our friends. Would well recommend.
