Despiertoo Specialty Coffee

One of the first things we do when arriving in a city is locate the specialty coffee houses. Despiertoo is indeed special as the young owner not only roasts the beans, they come from his family farms where he’s from in Guatemala. He has different levels of roast but our favorite was the medium. And one of the best Matcha latte I had… completely mixed with no clumps. Vegetable milk available, as well as some breakfast/brunch items (croissants, cakes…). Finally, great, hip vibe in this modern shop with a few places to sit and relax. If you like artisan coffee, make this a definite visit when in the center of Granada.

I imagine this place - perfect for my midnight coffee 🦉💫 apart they use the same blueberry blue color I have on my terrace 😄💜 coffee was perfect, croissant nice and fresh, baristas super nice and the coffee beans I got for home were roasted perfectly. I'll go back definitely 😍☕

Outstanding coffee and fruit/yogurt bowl. This was a great place to come. It was cold and rainy the day we were exploring Granada. Finding this coffee shop was perfect. As soon as you enter the shop the coffee aromas carry you way. Excellent. An oasis in a desert.

Despiertoo is an excellent contemporary coffee shop in the heart of Granada. Their coffee is artisanal and well made, their service is friendly and unpretentious, and their decor is innovative and daring. This place is definitely worth a visit.

possibly the best avocado toast i’ve had in a restaurant, i think its the olive oil they use, really good stuff. also had the matcha which was a decent 8/10.

Barista excellence makes a delightfully complex cup of coffee. Dulce desert did not disappoint. Granada’s Best.

Perfect cortado! Quite possibly the best I have ever had, and I have had a lot of them.

The espresso was done exceptionally well, with good beans, and the milk texture was gorgeous. This is a seriously talented barista who really knows his stuff. And he's very nice as well!

Not only is the coffee excellent, but the aesthetics are modern and minimal but not alienating. Quite a nice balance of earthy ceramics, modernism, and elegant third wave coffee. The space itself is very open and empty, and there isn't a great deal of seating, nor are the seats particularly comfortable but this is not a spot to sit all day and work on your laptop. That much is clear. (And more power to any café that does this! It is a relief for those of us who want to enjoy a warm cup of coffee and can never find seats because of all the digital nomads and hipsters!) How awesome is it to just walk in, grab a drink, and be able to sit down to enjoy it right away without fighting for a seat? Love it.

I hope this place is successful but not to popular that it loses its charms and character it has now. Truly one of my favourite cafés I have been too.

If you like coffee this is the place to go in Granada. Food is very good and they don’t try to over complicate. Had breakfast toast avocado and mozzarella- simple but perfectly delicious.

Coffee is a bit more expensive than other places BUT it's very good. The place itself is fresh, clean, minimalist, has friendly staff and although there is no WiFi, there are charging points on the tables you can use. I will definitely be going back. Lovely chilled place to do a bit of work, gobthrough emails etc.

Our go-to coffee and breakfast during our time in Granada. Coffee made perfectly and granola/fruit delicious. Such friendly and welcoming service! Love Granada and places like Despierto make us want to come back. ❤

They’ve got cold brew coffee! Or as I like to call it Café Cold Brew. The avocado toast was also very delicious. My only comment is that they should invest in some comfortable seating options. It was so hard to sit and eat my food at the bar or the minuscule bench & I’m a young person! Can you imagine someone older?

We really loved this specialty coffee place and went back several times during our stay in Granada. The coffee is really good and the blueberry chocolate cake is also worth trying. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommended.

Amazing coffee and plenty of milk alternatives. Staff are super friendly. Very modern, chic interior and plenty of seating. I have never tried the food but there are croissants and cheesecake and some breakfast toasts. Average prices for a super central location.

Comfy, quiet and for sure great coffee.
